Review

Well, the author took an overused plot and put a few twists on it and the gamble payed off.   I loved this book!  I only had one tiny thing that I found could have needed some work but other then that what a great, great read!

Olivia was in love with her brother’s best friend Ben.  Plain and simple.  After playing cat and mouse for many years, they have an awesome night of sex before Ben is deployed again…yes, he is in the military.  Now don’t go rolling your eyes at the plot because we all know what comes next…that he left her a little present before he left right?  Well, yes he does and naturally he doesn’t know while he is away….for exactly 9 months? LOL….

I am not going to spoil the plot but lets just say Olivia is left to face a tough and exhausting journey with the “present” Ben left her.  I was mentally drained and my heart hurt for her.

Not only does Olivia have her hands full but Ben comes back from being deployed with his own set of heartache and issues.  Can they find their way back to each other?  Can Ben step up and be the man he is expected to be?  Will their strong connection to each other be mended?  While all these questions are swirling around there are other little gem plots that are flying around as well and added much angst and mystery to this love story.

While I will say that Ben coming around to man up to his responsibilities was a little confusing and took longer then they should have it did work itself out.  I am looking forward to reading other books having to do with characters in this book!
