Really enjoyed this book once it got going.
Knox is a football god…and hot….and gorgeous and on his way to the NFL. Oh, did I mention he is a virgin? Yep, he is saving himself for the “one”.
Ellie and her brother Jack have just transferred to the same school as Knox and Jack is actually on the football team with him. What we find out early on is that Jack has some sort of learning disability and Ellie, unbeknownst to Jack has been secretly been helping him behind the scenes since the 8th grade. She has been guilted into it by her horrible mother….yep the parents are an entirely different review…lol. Let’s just say there is no love loss between the parents and Jack and Ellie and I seriously wanted to throat punch the mother.
Knox falls hard for Ellie and vice versa. While I am NOT a fan at all of insta-love relationships..this one is so well written that it didn’t “feel” like insta-love. You felt how much they genuinely fell fast for each other and I was there every second cheering them on. Their chemistry is HOT and sex scenes were even HOTTER! However, it did take a little longer then I would have liked for them to actually get to the sex scenes!
Just when Knox and Ellie think things couldn’t be any better, the proverbially sh*t hits the fan and the bottom falls out from beneath them. Ellie’s secret gets out that she has been changing answers for Jack and secretly logging into his school portal to do so. This jeopardizes not only her education but Jacks and not to mention him getting kicked off the football team and whats worse is it could effect Knox and the whole team. What will happen when Jack finds out what his sister has been doing? What happens when Knox finds out? Is everything he has been working for including Ellie lost? Could he lose his chance at the NFL now?
I will say by the end of the book, all questions are answered and left me with a smile on my face and anxiously waiting for the next book in this series! There are some great characters in this book that deserve their own chance to tell their story!
