FANTASTIC! I cannot wait to do a reread of this book because it is THAT GOOD! So let me first start off by saying that I love MC books and this has landed itself in with some of my top MC books. I didn’t know that this book was number 4 in a series-hence I thought it was a standalone book. However I am OVER THE MOON to learn that this is number 4 as I have 3 other books to jump right into and read more about these hot MC men. From the very first page of this book I was glued to it. When I had to stop reading I couldn’t stop thinking about the story and the characters.
Walk Through Fire is the story of Millie Cross and Logan “High” Judd. These two met at a party twenty years ago and from the first moment they met- they just clicked. They respected, loved, and cherished one another. Sharing each other’s goals and dreams these two although they were young when they feel in love they had their heads on straight and realized they needed to work hard to obtain their dreams and goals. It was so awesome to read through flashbacks how these two feel in love. We learn early on that three years into Millie and Logan’s relationship Millie calls it quits. Both Millie and Logan are heartbroken with the end of the relationship and I could NOT wait to learn the reasoning behind why Millie would call it quits. Twenty years later Millie sees and hears Logan and immediately old feelings are resurfaced. She knows she broke his heart (because she broke her own heart when she ended things) and is hoping to finally give him the closure she feels he may needs and deserves. She wants to finally explain why she ended things with him. When the reason is revealed you can’t help but feel heartbroken and understand more what these two people went through. Once Logan learns why Millie left him he immediately claims her again and realizes he will do everything in his power for these two to overcome what they went though, forge past the hurt and anger, and together set a path into the future. Will these two lovers be able to pick up where they left off twenty years ago or has life changed them where they no longer are as compatible as they once were? And will issues that Chaos (the MC club) has keep these two lovers apart forever? To see how this all gets figured out and to learn SO MUCH more about Millie and Logan and the other characters you HAVE GOT to read this book.
I am so happy that I was given an opportunity to read an eARC copy of this book. This book passed any expectation I have had when I read the blurb. I LOVED IT! The writing of this book is fantastic, as you read and learn about Millie and Logan you can’t help but fall in love with them and they love they have for one another. I love nothing more that when love is given a second chance for people. Sometimes life doesn’t go as we planned but life gives you the opportunities to get life back on the path you want it to. You just have to take the chance to do it. I loved the sisterhood of the ladies in this book and the brotherhood of the men. I am so excited to start the other prior books in this series! I am a huge fan of Kristen Ashley now and can’t wait to go one click happy on her books!
About The Author
Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.
