Title: Never Tear Us Apart
Author Name: Monica Murphy
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

Crazy how eight years can disappear in an instant. One look at Katie Watts, and I’m a fifteen-year-old again–the one who risked everything to save a terrified girl from her twisted kidnapper. She’s grown-up now–beautiful, quiet, composed–and telling her story to the world. A story that involves me in more ways than you can imagine. She used to call me her guardian angel. Sure, I risked my life, but she was worth dying for.
I need to make contact with her. Just to ensure that she’s safe.
Somehow we reconnect. We become friends . . . but I want more. I want to make her mine. And she wants me too. Does she know who I am? Has she figured me out? Not yet. But she will. In the meantime, I need to make sure that whatever hold that animal had on her is gone.
So, yeah, I’m stealing these moments with her. Savoring them. Knowing, dreading, that she’ll soon find out who I really am. And everything will fall apart. All because of that twisted, perverted monster sitting on death row. Her kidnapper. A convicted serial killer.

Never Tear Us Apart tackles two hard subjects, child abduction and rape. Two things that are hard for a lot of people to take in. Kate was abducted from a theme park at the young age of 12. The details aren’t super graphic but they are gripping and hard not to feel.
Will is the young 15 year old that finds Kate. Where does he find her? In a shed behind his house, that’s right his father is Kate’s abductor. Will helps Kate escape and takes her to the police. She sees him as her guardian angel.
Now the book flip flops between the past/what happened and the present. In the present Katherine as she is now called is 21 and still struggling with that happened. She has be come very much a recluse in almost never leaving her house and keeping to herself. She decides it’s time to tell her story with one of the top new reporters. Get it out in the open so she can hopefully heal and quit hiding from life. Katherine wants to feel normal and be able to do things that others take for granted on a daily basis.
Will is now 23 now and has tried to push Kate out of his mind. But when her face flashes across the screen all of the memories come flooding back. He becomes some what obsessed with finding ever little bit of information about her he can. Determined to find her and see that she is okay now.
Will and Kate share a special connection that no one but them could possibly understand. I could feel it come off of the pages, it’s there, tangible between the two. So much so that when Will finally interacts with Katherine for the first time to her he feels familiar. She doesn’t want to run when she is near him, he doesn’t make her nervous like other men do.
I really enjoyed this book . It was a great book about two people that are just meant to be together no matter the circumstances or what others thought. The storyline was very riveting and engaging. It’s one that might make you feel a little uneasy but one you can’t help but read. One that you want to see the characters get their Happy Ever After. It’s a heartfelt story that I would recommend to fellow book lovers.
