It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him.
That was seventeen years ago.
I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.
Alone, penniless, and with two boys, I had no choice but to return to Tennessee. He wasn’t supposed to be there. I should’ve been safe. However, fate has a way of stepping in.
This time around, the tables are turned. It’s my decision. Second chances do exist, but I don’t know if we can repair what’s already been broken . . .

Beautiful. Heart wrenching yet heals your heart at the same time. A story that actually makes you feel that you are living the life of the characters and experiencing everything with them. I can’t even put into the words how AMAZING this book is. I LOVE LOVE LOVE second chance romance but this book kicked my love of them onto a whole new level! Personally, whenever I start to read a Corinne Michaels book I know I am in for a treat and usually end up not going to bed or sleeping until I finish the book. Clearly that is exactly what happened with this book- I could not put it down!
Say You’ll Stay is the story of Presley and Zach. They grew up together and were madly in love with one another. Having planned out their lives together they were the golden couple that everyone loved and everybody wanted to be. Unfortunately it was a single decision that ruined what all thought could never be broken and both Presley and Zach were forced to move on with their lives. Presley leaves the small town they both grew up in to attend college and start her life in Pennsylvania. When life hands Presley an unfortunate circumstance that she cannot control she is forced to return to the place that she swore she would only see in her rear view mirror. Returning to her hometown means running into her past and Zach. Old emotions and feelings are brought to the surface when these two see each other. Will they be able to get past their past and possibly have a future together? Or are they exes for a reason and its for the better?
This story brings out so many emotions. It will make you cry, get angry, laugh, fall in love and hope that second chances romances do exist. I feel like these characters are friends of mine and I just lived through their life story. I LOVED it! This book is like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it’s finding the golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory- this book is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Corinne Michaels has knocked it out of the park with this book.
“Hey.” Zach peers at me as I shake off my thoughts. “I figured you’d be asleep.” He climbs the steps slowly as I get to my feet.
“I figured you’d be gone.”
I walk toward him, unsure of why he’s here. “I left for a bit, but wanted to come check on you.”
He snickers. “I couldn’t sleep.”
“Me either.” He’s close enough that I can smell his cologne. Even after a long night, being in the woods, he smells like home.
I take another step.
I’m so close I have to tilt my head to look into his eyes.
I breathe him in, feel his heat, and I can’t stop myself. I want him. I need him. I grip his neck and yank his mouth to mine. I kiss him. I kiss him and give in to everything I’ve been feeling. He doesn’t waste a second. His arms wrap around me, holding my body against his. My fingers grip his neck, keeping him exactly where I need him. This kiss is frantic, but God it feels good.
