Synopsis:

Coming home to a quiet, dark house.

Meals by myself, because she was already done.

Excuses and apologies, they were never enough.

But even with that, when I touched her—when she arched under me and pulled me deeper— we couldn’t get back to where we needed to be.

Where we used to be.

It was all frustration.

Loneliness.

Loss.

Because even though she was no longer my student, the chemistry was always there.

Adele and I loved each other.

We thought we were unshakeable.

But love isn’t always enough.

It wasn’t enough when I constantly disappointed her.

It wasn’t enough when loss cleaved us in two.

And when she left me, love was not enough.

She didn’t know yet that I’d never stop fighting for her.

But she would.

**Author’s note- Let’s be real clear that this is BOOK TWO of a duet, and you’re going to want to read Tempting before you read this one. Adele and Nathan started their story in that book, and you’ll get the same sex, fighting, and cursing that you did in the first. But if you want it to make sense, read Tempting first. If any of that offends you, please avoid them both.**

Wow, just wow. By the time I finished Provocative it ended up being so much more than what it started out to be.

Adele and Nathan have such a compelling story I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. In their relationship it seems they are always climbing an up hill battle. They take a leap forward only to be pushed back down further.

Nathan takes a new job teaching at Harvard, now they don’t have to worry about hiding their relationship from others. They are free to enjoy one another, or so they thought. With taking this new job comes lots of late nights and long hours. Lots of nights with Adele being home by herself eating frozen dinners. It all starts to take a tole on them especially with the unexpected news. News that rocks both of their worlds and their newly forming relationship.

Provocative for me was intense. My heart broke for them as tragedy struck and I could just see their relationship slowly start to fall apart. Communication breaks down between the two of them and the age gap still seems to be a problem for them. Even though Adele and Nathan have a shared bond like no other I began to wonder if they could make it. Provocative was a heartbreaking page turner for me, I couldn’t put it down. I had to know if they could pull through all the shit that had consumed them.

I highly recommend Tempting and Provocative to all the student-teacher romance lovers. It’s a sexually charged, intense ride that I would jump on again in a heartbeat. Adele and Nathan are one of those book couples that I don’t think I could ever read to much about. The Tempting Series is by far one of the best I have read in a while. Alex Lucian, you have a new fan and I look forward to future releases from you.
