Young widow Andrea Anderson wasn’t expecting to teach an ex con in her adult education class. Stu was certainly a distraction she didn’t need. Slowly Stu starts sneaking his way past her defenses, but he has other plans. Like protecting his family by getting as close to Andrea as possible.
“I nodded. ‘Okay, I guess I’ll see you in class then.’
‘See you in class, Andrea,’ Stu whispered right before he pressed a kiss to the back of my neck. I closed my eyes, the sensation overpowering even though it was only a kiss. By the time I turned around to face him he was already gone.
It was a shame his presence still lingered.”
I don’t even know what to say! Stu and Andrea…swoon! This is the only book I’ve read in the Hearts series and I’m definitely curious about the other ones. I love the mixture of mystery/suspense along with a tender love story. The other characters definitely held my interest too (Alfie, Jamie, Trevor and Reya). Little twists kept popping up that I hadn’t picked up on. I definitely enjoyed the change in Stu as he progresses in his education. I found the entire theme of this book to be uplifting, and it was a pleasure to spend time with it.
Reviewing books can be so rewarding when you discover a new author to read. I’m really happy I chose a book in the Hearts series because I know there will be more characters to get to know and love.
