But this story isn’t about Jake. It’s about Abel Madden; the man I meet after the fairy tale goes to hell. A cocky, arrogant man who says what he wants, does as he pleases, and makes no excuses for it. He irritates me—downright pisses me off at times—but he also brings me back to life.
My name is Sidney Ellis and this is my story of finding love twice—the first when I needed it most and the second when I never saw it coming.

Reviewed by JoannaThis is such a beautiful story. It starts off with a story of Sidney living in the “system”. By the age of ten, she is taken in with a foster family. She had hopes that she would finally find a family and be happy. Little did she know, her foster parents only took her in for the money, they didn’t care. Thankfully there was a foster brother, Conner, who made it better for her. They got along well and grew up to be great siblings.
In high school Sidney meets Jake and they begin to date. Jake know about the life Sidney is living, and invites her to his house for the holidays, and Sidney is welcomed.
I don’t want to tell to much more about the story… afraid to give up to much of what happens.
I do want to tell you that there are two wonderful men in this story. You have Jake, and then you will also get to meet Abel. Both completely different from each other, but they both help Sidney “Collect the Pieces” of herself. So beautiful.
Just know… there are tears. Yes, you will probably cry, but then you will be happy again… and then you will be sad…and then happy. LOL In other words, hold on…you will be on an emotional rollercoaster, but is will be SO worth it.
So well written… I couldn’t put it down.
