And broken, like you …
Unaware of how beautiful she is.
And how much worse her life could be …
She’s cast out for being different, misunderstood, or simply too complicated to bother with.
Just. Like. You …
She’s still perfect.
Because after all, you can’t break what’s already broken, and you can’t hurt what already suffers.
Or can you …?

Reviewed by LindseyAlllllll the feels! I was so into this book! Damn, Max! You really knocked this one out of the park. Sawyer and Abbey are freakin perfect together. I couldn’t get enough of them.
With all the above being said… here’s your warning. This book isn’t happy happy sunshine. It’s a little dark. And a little messed up at times. But that’s what sucked me in the most. I loved that it wasn’t cookie cutter perfect. Devoured this book! Sawyer is a dirty dirty boy. He’s likes things rough. He likes em hard. Just like he is. Everyone knows his dark. He doesn’t hide it. He owns it! What he doesn’t expect is to find the person to make that dark brighten up a bit.
Abbey is one messed up chick. But damn this girl is full of sass. I really enjoyed that although she was part of the club she wasn’t a whore. She’s just one of them. They know she’s not available for all that goes down. Her issues are deep. Very deep! She’s always had a thing for Sawyer. Always. She’s seen his dark and been accepting of it. Not cowering. Everyone sees her as weak and damaged. But she’s so far from that. She’s strong.
With the odds against these two from the start will they make it out of this mess alive? Will they both be able to let go of the darkness and just be in the moment? You’ll have to read and find out. Max did a phenomenal job with this book. I devoured it. Plain and simple. This story is one of the best of the year for me. Way to go lady!
Originally born and bred in New Zealand, Max now resides with her family in beautiful and sunny Queensland, Australia. Life with two young children can be hectic at times, and although she may not write as often as she would like, Max wouldn’t change a thing. When she’s not engrossed in her dark and twisted fictional worlds, she can be found enjoying the outdoors while 4wd-ing with her family.
