Thanos (Masters Among Monsters, #3) by Ella Frank ~Release Blitz w/ Review

Thanos by Ella Frank
Series: Masters Among Monsters #3
Publication Date: January 26th, 2017
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Thanos Agapiou has always been a charmer. For over two millennia, the
vampire had no problem acquiring whom and what he wanted with a flash of his
handsome smile. He took for granted the boyish good looks he presumed he’d
possess for the rest of eternity.
How very wrong he was.
A nearly fatal attack distorted his entire existence. With his
appearance now matching the title many have bestowed their kind—monster—he
hides away from the world and all of those who know him, including his Ancient,
Until one night when a stranger draws him out from the shadows.
Ever since Paris Antoniou was thrust into a world of vampires, his
reality has become stranger than the history and the myths he’s studied for the
past decade.
When he learns the truth about his origins and the power he wields, his
confusion and fear have him running for his life. What he doesn’t expect is to
run into the arms of Thanos—a vampire who doesn’t intimidate him as much as he
intrigues him.
As their worlds collide under extraordinary circumstances, an attraction
neither can deny takes hold. But will that be enough to save Thanos from his
demons, or will he condemn Paris to his fate?
Destinies have been changed. Lines have been crossed. And, with tales of
the vampire race coming to an end, who will make the ultimate sacrifice?
After all, in a world run by vampires and gods, only one can be the true
Master among the Monsters.

Thanos has always been the handsome charmer out of the three bonded with the Ancients. When he is scarred by one of the three sent by the gods to end his race, he is ready to end it all. Eton, his ancient, is devastated. Paris, one of the three created to bring down the vampires, is shocked by his attraction to this man that seems tragically flawed but compelled to talk with him. The story continues as events are set into motion with no clear remedy to stop the end of the vampires or save everyone involved.

“‘Are you curious to see the one you would be tasked to tame?’

Was he really going to say yes to this? But when Vasilios drew his upper lip back and those wicked teeth came into full view, the most depraved side of him, the part of his soul that Thanos had always been led to believe was rotten to the core, roared to life and he heard him saying , ‘Yes. Take me to him.’

In an instant, Vasilios’s hand was gone, and when he stood, he said, ‘I believe you are going to enjoy our young Eton. Come…’”

Well, I didn’t see that ending! I’m still in a daze how this series ended up…especially with Thanos’s story. The story cleverly weaves between the characters as we get to the end of what the gods have devised. I really enjoyed how vampires seemed to become more human throughout the series and Thanos and Eton’s story was the most tragic to me as Thanos tried to tame the demon inside of Eton. I rooted for them alongside with the rest of the vampires and demi-gods. My emotions are still all mixed up with how things were left and their fates. On one hand, I am satisfied and enjoyed the emotional roller coaster. On the other, I’m screaming WHAT!!! But I know that means I felt strongly for the characters and that’s what good fiction is all about.

If you are looking for something different and out of your normal vampire reading realm, definitely give this trilogy a try. It’s unlike any vampire romance/saga I’ve read. Definitely off my beaten path with some yummy ménage and M/M/M action.
