Synopsis

Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother’s art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it’s in the red. She soon realizes she has no choice but to sell it.

Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.

The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting…but surely her mother didn’t mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red…

The Red is a standalone novel of erotic fantasy from Tiffany Reisz, international bestselling author of The Bourbon Thief and the Original Sinners series.

Gallery owner Mona Lisa St. James is in financial trouble. She can’t afford to keep her gallery open. When Malcolm makes her an offer to pay her for sex for a year to get her back on her feet, Mona takes him up on his deal. Essentially she will be his “whore” and available for any fantasy for approximately once a month. Mona knows nothing about Malcolm but will this arrangement save her gallery?

“He was a god to her now, a god of sex and sin. If he could have fucked her forever, she would let him. In hell where the sins of lust were punished, they said the lascivious damned tore each other apart with their desires, and the rent and bleeding pieces still found ways to meet and mate with each other. How was that hell, she wondered? These theologians had never met Malcolm.”

Holy smokes! **Fans self while trying to cool down** That was one scorcher of a book. Mona makes a deal with Malcolm, an art connoisseur, for sex for a year – no limits. Their time together just surpasses all taboo fantasies. I loved all of the twists this story takes and did not guess the ending. I can’t believe how much I learned about art. Google was on standby because I had to know the basis of what scene Malcolm would want to reenact. What an incredibly, enjoyable story that is reminiscent of the Original Sin series. You know who Malcolm reminds me of? Kingsley! He is my favorite character and has such a devilish personality. God, I miss him.

If you are looking for a sexy book, look no further. I devoured this one and feel a re-read of all of Tiffany’s other books coming on. I miss Soren, Nora and Kingsley. I think they are missing me too!

OMG… Where do I start?

First, I would love to do some of my favorite quotes from this story in my review… but many of them included some dirty words, so I can’t, because the review won’t be allowed. So, that should tell you something about this story, it is DIRTY! And I loved it.

This is a story about an art gallery called The Red. It is owned by Mona Lisa St. James. Her mother owned it and Mona took it over recently after her mother passed.
The gallery is in financial trouble, but Mona promised her mother on her deathbed that she would keep the gallery.

She meets a stranger in the gallery one evening. She only knows him as Malcolm. He makes her a proposition to help her save the gallery… it must be for the duration of one year, and he can do anything he wishes to do with her. She will be his “whore”. It will only be once a month… but I wanted OH SO MUCH MORE.

Malcom leaves a hint the day before their encounter of what he is wanting, buy bookmarking an erotic painting in her art catalog. I must say I googled every art photo… so I could picture what to expect. Loved it, and was educated on the “erotic” art world in the past. They would relive what was in the painting.

Their encounters were like a “dream”. Malcolm would be able to change the back room of the art gallery to be the scene of the painting. It was pretty “unreal”.

I loved how the author is able to really make you feel like you were taken back to that time, and reliving what you see in the painting. There was all kinds of SEXINESS in this story.
I am someone who likes to be able to “relate” to the characters in the book… “Connect”. I can’t say that I was able to do that… but it really wasn’t necessary. There is no “romance” in this story…well, not really. Yes, Mona starts to fall in love with Malcolm, but that was all part of the deal, after the year, he leaves. Mona doesn’t know if he is married, or why he comes to her for these encounters, other than the sex… and he makes a lot of promises. Does he keep them all? You will have to read this steamy story and find out.
