Kason and Adaline, everything starts out perfect until the crave, need, want for Kason becomes more than he knows how to handle.
Adaline, Ady to her friends moves from Texas to Florida with her mother. Moving for any high schooler isn’t easy. Having to find new friends and learning how to fit in, ugh so glad those days a long over for myself. Ady does find a few friends in some guys, and in their small group Kason catches her eye right away.
Kason hasn’t had an easy life, growing up with a single mother that works two jobs to keep them afloat. Kason also works to help his mother. He has never known the life of luxury that his friends and classmates have. He is a boy some would say is from the other side of the tracks, but Kason has plans for his life. By getting into the “rich kids school” he is given a better chance to go to college and make something of himself.
Kason does everything he can to stay away from Adaline but just like a moth to a flame he is drawn to her. The connection is strong and he is tired of fighting it. He just has so many questions running through his head. Can he be her everything? Can he fight the compulsions that he craves so bad? Will loving and being with her be enough or will he always need just a little more?
So I’m going to let you in on a little secret…..this was my first E.K. Blair book *gasp*. I must say, I fully enjoyed myself. Crave is a mature young adult book that held my attention and kept me wanting more. It deals with adults situations that I’m not going to go into because that is a huge part of Kason and Adaline’s story. I loved how well developed the characters were and how the story flowed so well. There were a few times that things got repeated more than once and I found myself lightly going over those, but other than that I can’t wait for part two! I can’t wait to see how Kason and Adaline’s story concludes.
