From the New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg, comes a new series about three brothers, the job that calls them, and the women who challenge them.
“I hate you. I never want to see you again.”
Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville—at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade, ring in my ears every time a townsperson brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again.
Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons—sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer. But Grant is off limits because he knows too much about my past.
But I’m drawn to him. That damn uniform of his doesn’t hurt either. It’ll be my downfall. I know it.
What’s one night of sex going to hurt . . . right?
I’ve always loved Emmy Reeves.
That’s why I’m shocked to see her all these years later. The shy girl I once knew is all grown up.
Adventurous and full of life, she owns my heart now, just as much as she did back then. Convincing her of that is a whole different story.
I’ll give her the one night she asks for—like that’s a hardship—but when it comes to letting her walk away after, she has another thing coming. There’s no way in hell I’m letting her go this time without a fight.

K. Bromberg has outdone herself again. I don’t know how she does it. This book, wow this book I don’t even know where to begin. Cuffed has exceeded any and all expectations I had. From the very first page I could not put this book down. I had forgone sleep in order to read more. I didn’t even care how tired I was the next day because pulling all-nighters to read this book was so worth it. I finished this book about two days and cannot stop thinking about. I refuse to say much about the story because I do not want to ruin it for anyone- believe me this is one journey you want to take without spoilers.
Cuffed is the amazing journey of Grant and Emerson who from a very early age forged the bond of best friends. After twenty years of not seeing one another and their last run in was not a pleasant one, especially for 8 year olds, Grant and Emerson accidently bump into one another. The sight of each of them brings forth a ton of memories and rocks the lives they have set for themselves. After seeing the little boy grow up into a handsome cop, Emerson can’t help but be attracting to him. Although the physical attraction is not is an issue for Emerson the thought of trusting and relaying on someone else is something she refuses to do. Grant on the other hand will take her any which way he can get her- even if it means he has to agree to this one night of no strings attached. Just like life, things do not always go the way we want them to. This is the story of how two people with so much history between them take try to take a leap of faith into an uncertainty with neither one of them knowing what could happen.
I am still trying to process and form words about how K. Bromberg has a way with writing a story that makes you feel as if you are living it with the characters. I cheered for and with these characters, felt my heart grow for them and become sadden with all they had gone through. Grant and Emerson have a solid place in my heart and they will not be leaving it anytime soon. Thank you Kristy for writing such a powerful book that I know, whoever reads it, it will stay with them for a long time. As with all your books thank you for putting your heart and soul in this book- it is a story I will never forget.
