At the ending of Outlanders, a bombshell was dropped in our laps. Sawyer has to decide what she’s willing to do to protect her brand new life. Meanwhile Finn has loss so much before he met Sawyer. It nearly drove him to destroy himself. He knows now he’s not will to lose his second chance with Sawyer. When the past comes to Outskirts to try to come between these two, will they be able to fight back hard enough to stay together?

“I exhaled and relaxed against Finn who kissed my forehead. ‘I love you,’ I said.

Finn murmured against my hair and his words shot straight through to my very core. ‘Fiercely. Possessively. Crazily. Always.’”

This story had so many twists that it had my head spinning. At times I gasped and said NO WAY. It’s hard to place myself in Sawyer’s shoes and realize how sheltered she was raised. But not only her, there were points where I was like…REALLY, Finn? But I did enjoy the book and how strong of a bond Finn and Sawyer had formed. Not only the two of them. The entire family that Sawyer had found in Outskirts. I found it heartwarming that she was raised in a religious environment but the way women and children were treated…it was never family. Richard Dixon is definitely a good villain and I could easily get on board with everything Critter could imagine. And the cameo!!!! Thank you so much for when you bring other favorite characters into a different series. I loved it.

Basically this series is about new beginnings and family. And all of the crazy things we are willing to go through to protect them. I will always read anything T.M. Frazier writes because she keeps her people real with a big helping of humor thrown in there. Even if it can be a little sadistic sometimes.

I want to start off by saying that I love, love, loved the first book in this duet and the way it ended in a cliffhanger had me drooling for the 2nd book. Well, while I didn’t “love” the 2nd book, I liked it.

The storyline played out pretty much the way I expected it would and while there were some loose ends tied up there was nothing really shocking or angsty about it. Earlier characters have a more prominent role while some new characters had me puzzled as to where they fit in.

Finn and Sawyer move forward as a couple and it was “cute” to see. I say cute because it didn’t have a lot of fire and passion for me. While it wasn’t as great as the first, I would still recommend it to read. If you read the first, you obviously want to see where the cliffhanger goes and you do get to see other relationships start to grow and develop as well as get the back story on some.

My eyes went to her throat. I saw her pulse quicken beneath her smooth skin. She twisted her pouty pink lips. Her hesitation only lasted a second before she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down closer so that the tips of our noses touched. Her lips feathered against mine. “Fuck me, Finn.”

“Yes,” I growled.

I may have been the one who told her to say those words but hearing them out of her mouth caused the raging inferno of lust within me to explode beyond control. I had a feeling I’d be hearing those words on repeat in my head for the rest of my life.

Fuck me, Finn.

I lifted her up onto the nearest table and pushed her onto her back. I tore her panties off in one tug and while I devoured her with my eyes, I somehow managed to concentrate enough to unbuckle my belt and push my jeans down over my ass, freeing my throbbing cock.

Sawyer moaned when I parted her legs, stepping between them. The sound was pure fucking heaven. Our tongues danced while we drank each other in. I savored the way her body felt against mine. Hard against soft. I dug my fingers into the flesh of her perfectly round ass before moving them to her pussy where I parted her warm wet folds and strummed her swollen clit because Sawyer was my instrument of choice and only I knew how to play her to perfection.

The look on Sawyer’s face when I inserted a finger inside of her was as if I’d just given her a drug. She was high on the pleasure. Her lids were heavy. Her pupils large and dark. I was dead set on making sure I wrung every bit of pleasure from her gorgeous body and I gave her exactly what she’d asked me for.
