My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards.
We met at a wedding—him sitting on the groom’s side, me sitting on the bride’s. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction.
I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me.
We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number.
I thought about him often, but after my last relationship, I’d sworn off of charming, cocky, gorgeous-as-sin men. A year later, Hunter and I met again at the birth of our friends’ baby. Our attraction hadn’t dulled one bit. After a whirlwind trip, he demanded a real phone number this time. So I left him with my mother’s—she could scare away any man with her talks of babies and marriage—and flew back home.
I’d thought it was funny, until the following week when he rang the bell at Mom’s house for Sunday night dinner. The crazy, gorgeous man had won over my mother and taken an eight-week assignment in my city. He proposed we spend that time screwing each other out of our systems.
Eight weeks of mind-blowing sex with no strings attached? What did I have to lose?
Nothing, I thought.
It’s just sex, not love.
But you know what they say about the best laid plans…

If there’s one thing I know for certain, its that I can never go wrong with a Vi book. It’s just not possible. From the first page to the last I am hooked. Forget the laundry, dishes, and other house stuff that needs to be done. When Vi releases, I’m settling in for the duration. There are so many things I loved about this book. The chemistry, sexual tension, but most importantly, the story. I love love love this story. There is literally nothing that I disliked about it.
Nat is a sassy woman. Granted she’s been though hell and back due to her ex but she still wants to have some fun. Stepping up to the plate to take care of things when no one else was there seems to be her forte. And she’s damn great at it. I admired her strength and courage so much. When all she wanted was a fun night, she never dreamed a talk dark and handsome man would knock her world off its axis. But that’s just what this woman needed. I was absolutely giddy when Hunter came into the story.
With his filthy mouth and obvious sexual attraction to Nat, Hunter is one book man that will rank high on my list. I mean what’s not to love!? He’s sexy, smart, funny, and so damn dirty I nearly melted on the spot. But more than that, he’s a thoughtful man. He has his reasons for not settling down and where usually this would bother me in a story, I completely understood and would have done the same.
This story is brilliant. While I am always sure that Vi’s words will pull me into every story, I am still left reeling after every one. There’s a reason she’s the best, and this story is just further proof!
