With just three days until execution, Meadow Graham has been allowed to interview death row inmate, Vincent Mercier. Vincent is charismatic, cunning and brags about the game he was playing with her twin sister that ended up in the deaths of four people. With both holding onto secrets, will Meadow find out the truth before it’s too late?

“Vincent was a gold medalist in attraction, temptation personified, a weapon of cruel seduction that had been honed until wickedly sharp. It was through desire that he distracted and addled the mind, unrepentant for the cheap use of human instinct.”

Whoa! My heart was on edge as I started this tale of Meadow interviewing her twin sister’s killer on death row. As he leads her on a cat and mouse chase of the truth of what led up to her sister dying that tragic day, my emotions were jumping all over the place. I started trying to second guess and dreading what happened next. But I could not stop racing to what new information I might discover next! And when Vincent would speak in French I was switching to Google Translate so I could know every sexy phrase he was saying to Meadow. The premise for this story was just so different and refreshingly dark. Could a person be so manipulative? And what is the truth? This twisted romantic story is about emotional sacrifices and the cruelty of fate. I literally could not put it down until I read the very end.

Why do I love these dark and twisted books with questionable ethics and nonredeemable characters? I seem to be drawn to the flaws and sadistic urges and how they react to the outside world. And Lily White’s books are perfect examples of my secret fascination.
