The Vetrov name comes with expectation.
My role in this world is simple: do as Father asks and live my life how he planned it.

My future is already written: run the empire.
Old Values. Old Rule. Old Money.
Until her.

Everything I do lacks purpose.
Everything I do is empty.
Women. Money. Power. It meant nothing.
Until her.

When the Volkov rose showed up at my home a disgraced package, hand-delivered by a Vasiliev prince, I began paving my own path.
I vowed to make her bloom once more.

She consumed me.
Her. Her. Her.

But you can’t love a rose and expect not to be damaged by her thorns.
She cut me too deep.
And I bled out.
My soul fled.
All that’s left is a cold, calculating monster.

I am Veniamin.
Volcanic. Victorious. Valiant. Vetrov.
When you enter my world to play games, prepare to lose.
In the end, I always find the thorn in my side, and I pluck it right out.

Ven Ventrov knows what his family expects of him. He’s been groomed from birth to take over his family’s empire. Everything he does has no real meaning to him. Until Diana Volkov shows up in disgrace. He has always thought of her as special but now he vows to make her powerful again. But she’s damaged and lashes out. She doesn’t want Ven. And now he’s an empty monster again.

“I’ll help her find herself again.

Rebuild and reclaim what he stole, and then I’ll give her everything she deserves.

I vow to show her the difference between a monster and a master.”

Ven intrigued me in book one so I was very anxious to see where he and Diana would go. His story was EVERYTHING. I love dark, twisted reads and this series just speaks to my black heart. Ven and Diana are such a ruthless dynamo when they are together…both such strategic thinkers and willing to risk it all. And the V games…OH THE V GAMES! I was sucked in with how completely sadistic and corrupted they play out! I’m addicted to the Russian Mafia. And Ven’s cousins, the Madmen of Moscow, gave me chills and I just need MORE of them. I can’t wait for Vas’ book! He really stepped up for his family and I want him to takeover the Volkov powerhouse.

I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. I know this one was just released. But I need more of these families and seeing them get what they deserve. In the best and nastiest way possible.

About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.
