Meadow wakes up in a hospital bed with the last ten years missing from her life. Beside her is a man that swears they had a good life together. Cash has photo albums of happy memories and they have a beautiful house. But no matter how hard she tries she can’t seem to feel anything toward him and their life together. Soon Meadow feels like maybe losing her memory wasn’t a tragic accident. Maybe it was fate.
“I want to be able to remember her, but even if I did, I’m not sure we have anything in common anymore.
I’ll never be that Meadow again. No amount of therapy could take me back.”
I really love a good amnesia story. Meadow wakes up with no memory of her husband and that just sucked me in because I needed to know the reason behind the mystery of her life before the accident. Cash just seems so sweet. When we’re inside his head all I could think is this guy would do anything for his woman. He really gave more than anyone I know would give to someone that didn’t seem to want help. Meadow pushed all of my buttons. I just couldn’t figure out why she was being so hateful and resistant to help. It was like she was falling down some black hole. I loved the twists this story took even though it took me a long, long while to warm up to Meadow. It was a very thought provoking story with some dark elements for sure.
If you go for emotional drama and secrets, you might just love this latest book from Gia Riley. You just never know when some accident will happen and you could wake up Meadow. You really just don’t know.
