When We Fall by Olivia Rose
(Rocky Falls #1)
Genre: YA/NA Contemporary Romance
Synopsis
Do you remember that moment?
That one moment.
The one when you changed.
People might say it was this or that, but deep down you know. You know exactly what that moment was. Even if you’re not ready to admit it to yourself. You know. I remember mine, it didn’t just change me. It changed everything.
Everyone thought Mason Knight would be the whirlwind that swept me away, my unexpected hero in a leather jacket. But no one could’ve seen it coming.
That moment woke me up and made me see that when we fall, sometimes we need help to get back up.

No matter how much she tried to fly under the radar, Erin Michaels has always stood out at Rocky Falls High School. Due to zero fault of her own, she unfortunately was the target of the resident mean girls and basically the talk of the town. Yet she is determined to finish out the year, graduate and get the hell out of dodge.
That is until new student Mason Knight moves to Rocky Falls and ends up as her chemistry partner. Not only is Mason super hot, he’s also taken an interest in Erin. She is weary at first, understandably so after all the crap she has had to put up with. Mason and Erin start spending more time together and he proves over and over that he is a good person when he sticks up for her against bullies and is there when she needs him.
“I understand. I understand all of it. Not being able to be who you are, what you are, because of the world around you. Because everyone else thinks you should be something or someone else.”
As Mason and Erin grow closer, she finally starts to open her heart and let herself feel the love she deserves. Mason is such a good guy and I loved how much he genuinely cared for Erin. On the other hand I wasn’t a huge fan of Erin. Her relationship with a so-called friend drove me insane, but I was happy when she finally stood up for herself with him. We also get a whole bunch of drama along with some crazy plot twists that I didn’t see coming in this book. This was a decent read but I struggled with the way it all wrapped up. Where some parts dragged a little the end parts were rushed a bit too much, and I was just not a fan of how it all ended. I do look forward to reading more form this Author.
“I know right then that when we fall, when life sends us a challenge, we’ll be right by each other’s side.”
