This was an all around hysterical book! Enzo is a big wig at his company, a real rising star. His goal is to make partner. Not only is he ambitious but he is hot!! Smoking hot. But he has one major flaw. He is a terror to all his assistants and no matter how hot he is, he goes through assistants like water and no one wants to ever fill in as his assistant.
Enter Annie, an assistant for another employee at this company. Annie is self sufficient and wants to rise as well in this company but feels its “a man’s man company”. Annie is asked to fill in for Enzo’s last assistant that just walked out the door and she is mortified! Not only does she have a major crush on him since forever, she does not want to feel his wrath but she has no choice to be his assistant. Annie also has a hard time keeping her sassy mouth shut when Enzo tries to talk down to her. She gives it back in spades and it was hysterical to watch!
As Enzo and Annie have to work closely together on a campaign, she jumps at the chance to make a name for herself at work. They start to spend lots of time together and the attraction Annie finds out is mutual. Can Annie force Enzo to loosen his tie and break past his tough exterior?
These two had tons of chemistry and I laughed out loud a lot at the interactions between the two of them. Annie gives it back to him as much as he can dish it out. The story was fast paced and moved along smoothly. I loved the other characters in the book…Enzo’s brothers and sister Bianca. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that there will be books about them as well. Great summer beach read with a little sass and spice!
