Sienna lost her best friend years ago to suicide. She has never fully healed because there are so many questions why. Her small group of friends left fractured forever. Even Aiden, the boy who she has loved since the first time she saw him, but Aiden didn’t belong to her and never would. Aiden was with her best friend who is now gone and being with Aiden is just wrong. What would everyone think? Would she be breaking girl code? So as she tries to heal, she also has to hide her true feelings for the one person who brings her any peace.

Aiden is struggling. His friends all know it and he knows it. He carries a huge amount of guilt for the loss of one of their group…and his ex. There is only one person who helps him heal and find any peace and that is Sienna. He has loved Sienna from afar for years, even when he was dating her best friend. And now that she is gone it just doesn’t feel like it is ok to be with Sienna.

This storyline had potential but I felt that the first half -almost 3/4 of the book was them repeating the same things in their heads over and over and over of how wrong it was to think of being with the other. What would people think? Would they be judged? Naturally, neither of them has a clue the other feels the way they do. If I wasn’t curious to see how it all played out, I would have stopped because the inner monologue of their guilt was just too much for me. I found myself skipping pages to get to what actually was happening. I was glad they got a happy ending but it was too drawn out to get there for me and not enough action.
