This book had me within the first chapter. Blue is head over heels in love with Wes and vice versa. They truly are soulmates and on her 17th birthday, just as she thinks he is about to propose Wes gets arrested. That same night when she gets home her horrible father sends her away.
Once Wes gets out of jail he goes straight to Blue’s house where he confronts her father and he’s told she chose to leave. It crushes Wes but he hopes that their love is strong enough to someday reunite them.
Fast forward eight years and Blue is headed back to her hometown with her band. While on stage at a local new bar, Wes spots her and is truly crazed to find her. The rest of the book is them trying to find their way back to each other. This was such a well written and developed story. I could feel Blue’s pain of not remembering and I could feel Wes’s heartache of having her back possibly short term. I got so immersed in their love story. The wrap up to their story was rushed and I feel like there are things that did not get closure. Situations in the book had such description and depth that I felt the ending that they got didn’t satisfy me. I was really disappointed and taken off guard by the abrupt ending. It was such a great book and really deserved just as great of an ending. To me the ending left me slightly disappointed.
