What a fucked up dark and twisted ride Monica James took us on with this trilogy! Here I was naively thinking nothing could top book two and I happily stand corrected. Monica James was like wait here while I adjust my crown and show you who rules when it comes to all things that will literally blow your damn mind! With Forever My Saint she cemented herself as forever one of my favorite go to authors. This trilogy was absolutely brilliant!!

Forever My Saint picks up right where Bad Saint left off and even though I could go on and on about the delicious, crazy, intense, dark, emotional roller coaster this was, I am going to try and keep it short. Honestly I thought I was somewhat prepared for this book after reading the first two but I wasn’t prepared or remotely ready for what I got so I don’t want to give anything away.

“Falling in love in the most dire of circumstances shouldn’t have happened, but it did.”

I love Willow. I loved how even though she was dealt this super shitty, fucked up hand she was still good. She had this fire inside of her and she loved hard. Saint…he was just an incredibly broken and beautiful soul. Yes, his hands were bathed in blood from all the sins of his past but he had to make choices, desperate choices for the ones he loved. He loved Willow with all that he is and he would do anything to keep her safe.

“When I think about losing Saint, my entire world crumbles, giving way to perpetual darkness.”

Then there’s my Alek. Yes, mine. A ruthless king brought to his knees by a woman he loved that just happened to love another. I feel like in this book we saw a whole other side of the man so many feared, he was not just the ruthless person we thought. Yes, he is a dangerous, crazy, twisted man but oh, how I loved him. There’s so much more to who Alek is and I for one can’t wait to read his story.

“It’ll be our time, whether in this lifetime or the one after that. I promise.”

This isn’t by any means an easy read. There’s so much violence and darkness but in between all the chaos there’s also this crazy, beautiful love story. I will admit that I know it ended the way it was supposed to…that it really needed to but I selfishly was hoping it ended the way I wanted it to. I loved and hated so many characters in this epic twisted tale but I loved one the most and can’t wait to see more of him. Monica James is a genius and this book was amazing!!
