I saw some of the other reviews for this book and I’m puzzled by some of them. While I wanted to love this book, I just didn’t. Matilda is an event planner and is afraid of love so during one of her events that is a masked ball, she meets a man and has a one night stand. The guy totally rocks her world and she can NOT get him out of her mind. The next day she realizes she has a gyno appointment and with some bizarre circumstances, her one night stand is her substitute gyno. She pretends she doesn’t know it is him and he doesn’t recognize her. Both keep silent.

When they bump into each other next, they start to date. We all like a swoonworthy guy but there was a lot of over the top mushiness and lovey dovey talk. If I read “how did I get so lucky” or “where have you been all my life” or “where did you come from” one more time, I will scream. Definitely not my cup of tea. I had a hard time staying focused on all the sappy love stuff and found myself skimming the story. It distracted me from their story and just wasn’t for me. It might be exactly what you are looking for though if you like sweet, romantic stories.
