I love a good bully romance. I honestly just can’t get enough of them. So yeah just go ahead and give me all of them, well at least the good ones. And this second book in the Blackthorn series definitely did not disappoint. It was dark, twisty and oh so delicious!

Warren hasn’t seen Harper in three years so imagine his surprise when he sees her at his school. Yup, that’s right…Warren basically runs Blackthorn and the last person he wants on campus is the girl who broke his heart and betrayed him. Right away we are left wondering what the hell poor Harper could have possibly done to make Warren hate her. He’s spent three years trying to forget her anyway he can including screwing his way through the female population on campus. As soon as he lays eyes on Harper he wants nothing more than to destroy her and make her pay. He takes bullying to a dark and new level with what he puts her through. On top of all of that poor Harper has no idea why Warren is hell bent on destroying her. Why he ever pushed her away and wants nothing to do with her.

“Hate me all you want. But know that I hate you enough for the both of us, and no amount of begging, pleading or tears will ever change that.”

Okay so I really, really wanted to hate Warren. But I didn’t. He was so intentionally cruel to Harper but you could see under all of it that he still loved her. Poor Harper was so sweet and forgiving and just some of the shit he put her through was painful to read. These two were so in love once even though one of their families didn’t want them to be together, they didn’t care. Then it was destroyed because of a betrayal, but what happens when the hate you’ve been holding onto for years is all a lie? If the betrayal that broke apart the one good thing you had isn’t what you thought it was? Is there any coming back from the choices you made?

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed this book and the characters. These two authors know how to work together to deliver a fantastic bully romance! I am looking forward to reading more from them.
