Blurb
Sunshine.
It’s a nickname I haven’t heard since I lived on Woodbury Lane, where the houses were pretty but the secrets? Deadly. It was a pet name known only to the Bullets. Rough, violent, and ruthless, they laid claim to the town — and my heart.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for a boy from the wrong side of the tracks—especially not four of them. But they were the only ones who understood that sometimes hell hides in plain sight.
I was the girl with all the conveniences a privileged upbringing could provide. The world only saw two loving parents and a pristine home life, but I knew the truth. And it was going to get me killed. So, I disappeared, from everyone and everything I’d ever known. I changed my name and my appearance, but the scars I carry, they’re still the same.
The Bullets are all grown up now, too — a crime boss, a pro fighter, a bounty hunter, and a federal agent. Life took them in different directions, but they once shared the bonds of a brotherhood forged under the harshest conditions. Together they were fearless. Brutal. Unstoppable.
I’m praying they can find that unity again. If I’m going to survive this, it’ll take everything they have. Because that’s the thing about running from the past.
Eventually, it catches up to you.

Alright I just need a quick minute as I try and pick up my jaw off the damn floor while simultaneously trying to wipe the drool off my face. What did I just read?!! I’m honestly not quite sure, but what I do know is that I loved it. All of it!!! Every single dark, twisted, crazy word. This was my first read by CoraLee June and she can damn well write an insanely good story. I’m over here chastising myself for not finding her books sooner. If you love a dark, raw, gritty RH like I do than get ready because this book will take you on one hell of a ride.
“She was what brought us together, and she’d inevitably be what tore us apart.”
Summer AKA Sunshine grew up in a place where appearances were everything. To the outside world her family was perfect and so was she. She was the good girl and did everything her parents expected of her. She hated it and appearances can be deceiving. Her one saving grace until she graduated high school and high tailed it out of there were the Bullets, the foster kids of the rich family down the street. The Bullets ran the school and basically the town. Everyone wanted a piece of them and Sunshine owned their hearts.
“Being friends with the Bullets was like a drug, and I was an addict. One taste was never enough.”
Gav, Blaise and Ryker AKA the Bullets had a few rules amongst themselves and the most important was don’t touch Sunshine. But OMG the insane chemistry between all of them was just crazy!! I just couldn’t handle it. Sunshine being the one to always follow the rules decides it’s time to let loose and party with the Bullets and then just a whole bunch of hot, chaotic and craziness happen. Lines are crossed and friendships and loyalty are put to the test. But before anyone can figure out what’s going on, Sunshine is disappears. For five years.
“Didn’t you know? I fucking loved you.”
It’s been five years since Sunshine left Woodbury lane and five years since she has seen Gav, Ryker and Blaise but they never gave up trying to find her. And with the help of Callum they finally did. Oh and who’s Callum you ask? Just the super sexy, tad bit older cop turned Federal agent Sunshine knew from back home. Don’t worry you’ll get plenty more of him in the book. Plenty more of all of them. A lot can happen in five years and none of them are the same people. There’s hurt, betrayal and an overwhelming sense of relief once she’s found. But the big question that remains is why did she run? Why did she break the promise she made the night before she left? The whole book I tried and tried to figure out what the secret she was carrying was. Why she ran. I thought I had it once and then the author goes and drops a whole new level of crazy on us and I was blown away!! Talk about a twist, and a cliffhanger.
“The only difference now is that when you left, you evened the playing field. You ruined it so we didn’t have to.”
I absolutely loved Sunshine and Bullets. I loved Gav, Ryker, Blaise, Callum and Sunshine. Though if I’m being honest I kind of love Ryker and Callum a little more. There were also some great secondary characters I am looking forward to seeing more of. I can’t wait for more!!
“Gavriel wanted to control me. Blaise wanted to see me. Callum wanted to save me. Ryker wanted to punish me. Some things never change.”
