Stella had dreams of going to college but that all got sidetracked years ago when due to some unfortunate circumstances she becomes the primary caregiver for her sweet grandma. So instead of going to college and getting all the experiences that come along with that, she splits all her time between taking care of her gram and working long hours for a shitty boss in the kitchen at the prestigious Blackthorn Academy. And just her luck she ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnesses Cameron and Easton, two of Blackthorns Elite doing something that there’s no way in hell she should have seen and right away she knows she is in trouble.

“ I sprint through the dark night, hoping and praying that I’m fast enough to get away. Hoping for my life, and for my grandma’s life, that I can survive the night.”

Cameron and Eaton can’t leave a witness and know what they need to do but for some reason they decide to make sort of a deal with the beautiful girl who knows too much. She gets to live if she keeps their secret and in return they own her. It’s game on and these boys are ready to play and make Stella submit to their every command. But will the secret they are all keeping stay hidden or will the game Cameron and Easton are playing with Stella take an unexpected turn?

I have read the other books in this series and enjoyed them all. I always crave a good bully read. Give me all the dark, gritty and crazy that makes up a good bully romance. I’ll gladly take it. But sadly this book didn’t click for me. I liked the mystery and the whole idea with this story but it felt so rushed and thrown together. It was a quick read but I wanted more of a build up with the whole bully love/hate aspect. I felt like this one just threw a whole bunch of random stuff in the mix really fast and I didn’t like the way it was all played out. I can see where people would enjoy it and I did really like the other books in the series. Cameron was my favorite in this story right from the start. Stella and Easton just didn’t grow on me like I hoped they would. I do look forward to reading more from these two authors and have high hopes for the next book.
