Hannah had the biggest crush on her brother’s best friend, Levi, for as long as she can remember. He was the hot shot football star in high school that all the girls wanted and all the guys wanted to be. She was the shy girl who hide in the shadows because it seemed anytime she came out she was bullied but things have changed. Hannah isn’t the same girl anymore. When she sees the opportunity for a chance with the one guy who has occupied her nightly dreams and her heart for years, she jumps on it. After all, what Levi doesn’t know won’t hurt him, right?

“People like you, they don’t end up with people like me.”

The last thing Levi expected to see at his best friend Kip’s wedding was his little sister Hannah Banana Mathews all grown up. He knows she’s off limits, but shit, he can’t keep his eyes off her. After way too many drinks and some not so great advice he ends up in a dark supply closet being tricked into some super hot sex by the one person he knows he should stay away from. But that plan gets shot to hell when it turns out they are going to be working at the same law firm. The law firm her father just so happens to own. And now Levi is Hannah’s mentor. Things are about to get super complicated.

“I want something from Hannah Mathews in a deep way. I’m just afraid to admit to myself what that is.”

Levi is pissed that Hannah tricked him and he wants answers. But can he admit to himself he wants more? That maybe one night with sweet Hannah wasn’t enough. Hannah has always wanted him but is this real or are her emotions just a game to Levi? I loved Levi and how he was an all in kind of guy. He wasn’t afraid to go after what he wanted although he did remind us all a million times that Hannah was his best friend’s little sister. We get it but people grow up. Hannah was sweet and sometimes fierce. The insecurities she carried from growing up reared their ugly head so many times as she fought for whatever was going on with her and Levi. Bullies suck at any age and there were some real assholes in this book. I did love the chemistry and banter between Levi and Hannah and found myself laughing out loud so many times. There were also some crazy twists in the second half that had me wondering what the hell was going on. I felt a bit confused and thrown off. It felt like several books were merged into one and that was a little hard for me to get through. I guess I just wanted Levi and Hannah back with their sweet love story. Overall, I really did enjoy this book and was rooting for these two to put themselves first and take a chance at the love they both wanted and deserved.
