I enjoyed this light romance. It was a slow burn, coming of age love story with young adult characters. If you love angst and struggles, then you might like this one. I had a hard time connecting these characters for some reason or other. It could just be the sheltering at home time affecting my mood but they frustrated me a bit with the choices they made…but that’s the joy of the young adult genre. The characters are still figuring everything out.

Alec was a wonderful hero. So romantic and sweet. Their relationship was heartbreakingly beautiful. He was so loyal in his faith that they could overcome anything. I felt the end was a little rushed but it still made me smile. I would have loved to see Alec and Hope enjoy their happy union for a while. But in the end, this was an entertaining book and I think a lot of people will find it fun to read.
