Holy whiplash! There were so many crazy and intense twists and turns in this book, I could barely contain myself. What a perfectly epic conclusion to a fantastic duet. Blowback picks up right were we were left with that jaw dropping cliffhanger at the end of Bullseye. Bull is still hell bent on seeking revenge against the men that killed his brother and took his freedom. If his crazy fucked up plan works more blood will be shed and his enemies will pay. But at what cost?

“My shackles were invisible, and I never believed in fairytales. I still don’t.”

This book is mass chaos and carnage right from the get go. It’s dark and dirty and heartbreakingly beautiful. As Bull’s need for vengeance goes deeper into the depths of his tortured soul so many more players enter the game. Meanwhile he’s made a deal with the devil…well, one of the devils because believe me there’s an influx in this duet. Part of that deal is he has to stay away from the one person besides his brother who has ever meant anything to him. But Bull isn’t the kind of man who follows other people’s rules, he’s the kind that breaks them.

“Deeper and deeper, I’m falling down the rabbit hole, but it seems fitting – because we’re all mad here.”

Tiger and Bull basically have a shit show coming their way and so many obstacles trying to tear them apart when they both so obviously want to be together. Bull may think his soul is too dark and that he is unworthy of being loved, but Tiger takes this tortured man and shows him what love is and that he is deserving. Amiss all the blood, death and mayhem it really was a beautiful love story for these two. I loved Tiger in the first book and even more in this one. She was fierce and a force to be reckoned with when a monster tries to take those she loves the most. Bull is dark and intense and oh so beautiful. There are also some amazing secondary characters that I loved in this second book and some scary ass depraved ones too. I am so glad Monica James wrapped this story up the way she did. I adored Bull and Tiger. This duet consumed me and I loved every minute of it.
