It’s hard to put into words what I feel about this series. There’s so much delicious angst in every single book and Charlotte and Cal’s story is no exception. Charlotte has went through hell and is trying to claw her way out of the trauma and consequences of her actions. I was so angry at what she allowed herself to get pulled into the last book and I was glad I got a peak inside her thoughts and emotions. She’s such a complicated character and I loved seeing how she went about mending relationships she had bruised and pushed away. Cal…don’t get me started on Cal. LOVED HIM!!! He’s such a strong member of the Hoodlums. Cocky, confident and loyal. But he’s also missing a piece of himself and I melted watching what he was enduring while dealing with his feelings for the cause of what happened. JUST SO GOOD! These books deal with a dark and brutal coming of age of a close group of friends storyline. I cannot recommend them strongly enough.
