A Love Song for Dreamers is the final book in the Rivals series and what a way to wrap up Annie and Tyler’s crazy, beautiful story. A big part of me desperately needed this book after that insane cliffhanger we were left with at the end of the last book. The other part of me wanted to hold off as long as possible to read it because I didn’t want it to be over. I loved Annie and Tyler right away. Through all their ups and downs and time apart, I grew to love their characters even more. Piper Lawson gave us the perfect ending to a fantastic series.

“This isn’t sweet. It’s anarchy. We’re not in love. We’re at war.”

This book picks up right where the last ended and we’re thrown into the aftermath of what happened on that fateful night just a few blocks from Tyler’s apartment. We knew, or at least I was desperately hoping, Tyler would recover but not all of him recovers right away. As much as they try to move forward, the weight of what happened turns Tyler into someone else. I wouldn’t say he is an asshole because man, I love me some Tyler. My heart broke for everything he went through. Sometimes life is just shitty and as much as two people are in love and desperately try to hold onto what was, life has other plans.

It’s been over two years since Annie and Tyler have talked face to face. They are thrown back together in a world they both understand all too well, but it’s still right there. The love, the chemistry and the passion between two people who have traveled so many roads to get where they are. But they aren’t the same people they were. They started out as two passionate teenagers who have grown into young adults with dreams and careers that put them in different places. A happily ever after does not come easily for these two. It’s a messy road with a lot of obstacles but no matter what gets thrown their way they somehow always find their way back to each other. His dream is on the west coast and hers the east. Can they find a way to make both their dreams come true? Together?

There was so much emotion stuffed into the pages of this series. I truly loved both characters so much. I laughed. I cried. And I swooned a lot. It was a roller coaster there for a while with some interesting twists and turns but I feel like the author gave us the perfect ending to a great series. I loved it so much!
