THE REALITY OF EVERYTHING (Flight & Glory #5) by Rebecca Yarros
Release Date: August 24th
BLURB
Two years after the man she loved was killed in Afghanistan, Morgan Bartley is trying to put the pieces of her life back together. The reno on her dilapidated beach house in the Outer Banks might be just the distraction she needs to keep her debilitating anxiety attacks at bay and begin to heal her heart…if she can ignore the ridiculously handsome guy next door.
At twenty-eight, single-dad Jackson Montgomery’s life revolves around his five-year-old daughter and his job as a search-and-rescue pilot for the coast guard. He’s no stranger to saving a damsel in distress, and though his gorgeous new neighbor is clearly in distress, she’s no damsel. She’s stubborn as hell with walls a mile thick, and the dog tags hanging from her rearview mirror give him a pretty good clue as to why.
It doesn’t matter that their attraction is undeniable—she swore she’d never fall for another pilot, let alone a military man. There are some wounds time can’t heal, and some fears too consuming to conquer.
She’s a barely breathing heartbreak on the edge of recovery.
He’s a crash waiting to happen.
Together they could have it all…if they can endure the coming storm.

OMG…I loved this book! I could not put it down and I wanted it to just keep going! Morgan has come to the Outer Banks to escape her life. She lost the love of her life in a helicopter attack in the armed forces two years ago and has been dealing with terrible anxiety after this loss. She can no longer sit and watch all of her and her ex’s friends go on with their lives and hers be so broken. She heads to the one place her ex had dreamed of going. She buys a fixer upper and it is in desperate need of repairs. She is hoping that this place will help her heal.
Next door to her is a hot, single dad who is pretty handy with a hammer. Jackson is the epitome of alpha male. He is a fixer and tries to fix her and her house. And he does! Little by little Jackson breaks down the walls Morgan has built up. Eventually he finds out what has sent Morgan into this shell. Only when he finds out her ex went down in a helicopter in hostile territory and died saving a friend, he realizes that telling her what he does for a living may not go over well. Jackson is a pilot for the coast guard. These two are sooooo meant for each other and I loved watching them bond. It was beautiful seeing Morgan deal with her anxiety and little by little letting Jackson and his daughter in. She starts falling for them both HARD. Will Morgan be able to handle Jackson’s risky job or will she run and build her shell all over again?
I was literally holding my breath reading this saga unfold!!! I don’t think I could do what Morgan does in the end. This book had it all – drama, love, angst, heartache, rebirth, new love…and anxiety all wrapped up in pretty bow. I loved this book and highly recommend it to all!!!
