This mafia book is about a father who owes a debt to the “Don” and instead of paying he gives his daughter…and she is not ok with that. Roselyn has a mouth on her and has been offered up twice before to be used as debt payment. But she has never been offered up to someone this high in the mafia. Devious has had his heart broken and is a real aggressive asshole to her. It started off with him being super crude and I cringed a few times at his behavior.

A huge part of the book was a common theme in mafia books. She pushes him away, he punishes her, she breaks, she feels guilty, she starts to fall for him and on and on. For me, this was so disjointed and jumped around a bit that it felt lacking and I skipped some pages.

By the end, these two have made such an abrupt about face as to how they feel about each other it literally gave me whiplash. And then it just ends? All of the drama of him being a hardass and downright mean to they’re madly in love and it just ends. Such a disappointment in all of it. This could have been a great story. It should have been two books. The first one should have been about him breaking her and more in depth with that. The second book could have been about them falling love. Not insta love and having something dramatic happen…her get kidnapped…something!!!!! Too rushed for me. It felt like a poor execution with an abrupt ending.
