When Portia receives the invitation she knows it’ll be a life changing experience, and not necessarily in a good way but it’s a way out for her and her sisters so that’s all that matters. When she is picked by none other than Sully VanDoren her 109 days of unknown begins and all she has to do is make it through to receive her prize.

There are many things the order expects and though Sully went in knowing most of them, Portia was completely unprepared for all the horror and chaos that came with the initiation process. Greed, lust and betrayal were aplenty in this book. While Sully and Portia didn’t really hit it off at first being forced to be the other one’s half for all that time changed things between them and they definitely had some crazy chemistry. Will they survive the 109 days together and claim their prize or will they be exiled by The Order of the Silver Ghost?

I was desperate to get my hands on this book after reading the blurb and seeing the beautiful cover but sadly I struggled a lot with this story. I know it says it can be read as a stand-alone but honestly I felt very lost several times in this book and it left me wondering if it was because of things I missed by not reading the first book in the series. While I liked the chemistry between Sully and Portia I really thought their connection was a little lacking. Yes, there were some fantastic super steamy scenes between them but there was not a ton else that kept my interest. The first chapter was off to a great start and then it was just a little rushed and all over the place from there in my opinion. But again that could be because I felt sort of like I was missing something from the first book. I’m not sure. It was an entertaining read overall and I liked the surprise twist at the end. It was just not a favorite story for me and I think it was because I didn’t read book one.
