This is the second book in the Kings of Cypress Prep series and after that huge cliffhanger we were left with, I desperately was hoping this book gave us some answers. The main question was if West really is that big of an asshole that he leaked the sex tape of him and Blue? And why? I was really hoping there was another explanation. But honestly after all the shit he put her through in the first book it wouldn’t have come as a huge shocker if it was him. I’m glad that we did get some answers in this book but it seemed for every mystery solved a new one popped up. I was completely obsessed with the first book in this series and was holding out hope that this one would be just as good, if not better. Let’s just say the authors did not disappoint one bit! This book was amazing!

“If anyone knows I don’t have the right to feel a damn thing about where she is or what her next move is, it’s me.”

So West messed up…again. But this time Blue won’t be so forgiving. If he wants to part of her life, he needs to earn her trust. It’s all or nothing for her, and I love that she refuses to give in easily. After all, she is the one who endures the snickers and sneers at school. She is also the one who could so easily see her admission to Cypress Prep slip away so its game over for her. She’s done playing. I love Blue and how kick ass her character was in this book.

“I feel broken in places I didn’t even know existed, beaten down from the inside out.”

West Golden is like his own freaking roller coaster ride. I hated him then liked him and then kind of sort of fell in love with him in this book. Yes, he is a jackass but for all the shit he did wrong in the first book…in this book there is a lot he does right. I like that he is willing to fight for Blue. There is a huge difference from the West we met in book one. So yeah I love him, but I also still love Ricky. I am a tad torn though that doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case for Blue.

“His broken soul cries out to mine, and if I’m not crazy, I believe we might be the key to one another becoming whole.”

I don’t want to say too much more as one of my favorite things in this series, besides the characters, is the mystery and suspense. We get a whole lot more of that in this book with a ton of drama and angst mixed in. The cliffhanger in this one nearly killed me. But I am hoping that just means the third book will be everything we need and more. This series is a must read!!!
