I really like all of this author’s books but for some reason the first book of this new series didn’t connect with me. It takes place in a very small intimate town in Alaska. A town where everyone knows each other and their business. A well known figure passes away and leaves her sewing store to her daughter Clara. Clara has a group of tight knit friends and I have a feeling they will each be getting a book. Clara finds out that she actually has a sister that she never knew when she shows up to the reading of the will.

Cade is one of the Greene’s, a well known family in town. Successful and good looking, he is working at the family bar when Presley walks in. There is an instant attraction between these two and their banter and funny one liners kept me going to the very end.

Cade has past relationship issues and Presley is dealing with owning her own store and a sister she has never known. Can she handle a relationship with a handsome stranger too? For me, it was hard to feel the “love” connection. It was also hard to empathize with the two long lost sisters reuniting. I wanted more from this series and I couldn’t completely lose myself in the story. There was no angst, no drama…it was pretty docile except for a few sexy love scenes. I am looking forward to reading future books in this series with my fingers crossed!
