I have read several books by Monica James and loved them all. I already knew going in, this book was going to be good but this book wasn’t just good, this book was EVERYTHING! It was dark. It was evil. It was sexy. Holy hell, it was so sick and twisted! And can we also just take a minute to appreciate that amazing cover? First off it’s so damn sexy and it’s also everything I imagine when I think of Punky.

I feel like nothing I say will be able to convey just how amazing this book truly is. I also don’t want to say too much for fear of giving anything away so this review will be a short one. This is definitely one of the books you have to go into as blind as possible so you can truly enjoy firsthand every fucked up twist and turn on this never ending crazy train. I can’t remember the last time I devoured the pages of a book so quickly. As soon as I finished it, I went back and read it again. I think I loved it even more the second time around. You don’t want to miss a thing while reading this book. Every single word is so important and every single thing about this book is mind blowing. Monica James raised the bar to a whole new level with Thy Kingdom Come and I am 100% here for it!

There’s a war going down in Ireland between the Kellys and the Doyles. It’s a war that started long ago. Somewhere in the midst of all the chaos and bloodshed was Puck Connor Kelly who at five years old watched while safely hidden away as his Mother took her last breath. He never forgot what he saw that day. Now that Puck aka Punky is all grown up all hell is about to break loose and no one is safe from the monsters that are about to come out to play.

“No matter what it takes, no matter how long, I’m going to kill every last Doyle and burn their motherfucking kingdom to the ground.”

Punky trusts very few people but then along comes Poppy aka Babydoll. The two of them are drawn to one another right away but Poppy has a secret. One that could destroy all of Punky’s carefully laid plans. He knows she’s hiding something but will it be too late by the time he realizes what it is? I absolutely loved both of these characters so much! I can not recommend this book enough. It’s a must read but buckle up and hold tight because it’ll take you on one hell of a ride.
