And Beck Clermont controlled them all.
He was arrogant and conceited, and from the moment I met him, he had made up his mind about me.
Dangerously handsome and wickedly cruel, he had no intention of letting me spend my senior year under the radar.
The secrets of old money ran deep, and even though I barely knew them, the sins of my family had put a target on my back.
He was a hurricane, and I was unprepared for the storm.
His touch fatal. His impact irreparable.
There was no negotiation.
He stole my heart. Without warning, without permission.

Josie Vos has moved to Clermont Bay after her mom died to live with her estranged father, stepmom and stepbrother just in time to start her senior year. She makes it no secret that she has zero desire to live among the rich and powerful. All she wants is to finish school and get the hell out of the Bay. Her arrival in Clermont Bay suddenly shakes everything up after her stepbrother Lucas drags her to a party one night, and she’s thrust in the middle of a rivalry.
“I never wanted this. Life wasn’t supposed to go like this.”
Beck Clermont is the king of Clermont Prep. He rules the school and his family rules the town. Josie and he share an instant and intense connection the first night they meet. But after a hot kiss on the beach, the waves come crashing down after Beck learns her last name. Now he wants nothing more than to use her as a pawn to destroy her family and make them pay for their sins.
“I would deal with the consequences of every fucked up decision I made.”
Josie has no idea why Beck hates her. All she knows is the sweet, sexy boy from the beach turned into a ruthless bully as soon as he learned she was a Vos. He’s set on destroying her and she’s set on avoiding him at all costs. But it’s easier said than done when they go to the same school, she works for his family and they share such an intense connection. It’s a crazy game of cat and mouse for these two and they just love to hate each other or at least they try too.
“She was staring up at me like she felt more at home in my arms than she ever would in these tainted fucking walls.”
Tons of drama, angst, secrets, lust and lies filled the pages in the first book in the Boys of Clermont Bay Series. I absolutely love Beck and understood his need for revenge and hatred he had for the Vos family. I was just hoping he could let go enough to see that Josie shouldn’t have to pay for the sins of her family. I loved Josie too but sometimes I wanted her not to give in so easily. She had this whole badass persona but caved too quickly to Beck time and time again. I love a good Bully romance and this book was a great read. Even with that killer cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Clermont Bay.
“I had set fire to everything that we were, everything that we could have been, with the hopes of destroying her family. But the only thing I managed to destroy was her.”
