The one adjective used to describe my entire hockey career. I prefer to call it hard work, at least I did until my game went to complete crap. I haven’t scored in eight games and my team owner is talking about trading me.

Now, I have to track her down and bribe her to do it again before every game. Get your mind out of the gutter, I’m not talking about it.

I find her and when I get to know her better, I end up spending more time thinking about her than my game, but she’s made it clear she wants no part of me. She’s going to learn that I didn’t become a professional hockey player without having to fight for what I want.

This was a super quick and fun read. I don’t want to give away too many details because this is a perfect beach or poolside story. Aiden is a hot hockey player that takes his game super seriously so when he gets into a slump and the dreaded “trade” word is in the air, he is beside himself.

Saige is adorable. She controls social media for athletes making sure nothing negative is being posted to tarnish reputations. An incident with a handsome guy leaves her shaken and she had to throw a drink in his face to get him to leave her alone. What she doesn’t realize is her reaction broke his slump. Yep…Saige threw it in Aiden’s face. Now he is determined to find her to keep his lucky streak going! To say the proposal of her having to do this before every game is crazy but it seems to work. These two have an insane plan to keep Aiden out of his slump but their attraction is off the charts. Saige doesn’t date athletes or clients and when Aiden discovers she is seeing someone he knows, things fizzle out…or do they?

This was a great storyline and you can feel the chemistry from these two characters! There were many laugh out loud moments as well as some sexy steamy scenes. I look forward to future books in this series.
