A nice, slow burn, romantic, limited time together and complicated romance. Parts definitely made me swoon, laugh, tear up and smile. Other parts frustrated me, made me feel conflicting emotions and filled me with worry. I really liked Felicity. Although she was apprehensive and sensible…she also was a smart, charming girl with a good head on her shoulders. She sometimes would take an unexpected leap of faith and I loved that about her. I also adored quite a bit about Leo. He seemed down to earth but respectful of his duties that an aristocrat must fill. Sometimes an impossible task. I found the story entertaining and further in a bit addictive. Even with some unexpected twists that left me unsettled but kept me curious about where we would end up. Life is complex and this book reminded me of that as it kept running through my mind even though I was done reading.

This was definitely an interesting read for me. At first I was laughing, then I was sad, then mad, then laughing and happy again. All the emotional rollercoaster rides for this one! Penelope is an amazing storyteller and this one was awesome. I loved the banter and easy going attitude with the characters. I enjoyed that they were real and honest with each other. That was refreshing. No hidden agendas. Definitely a good book.
