Spark of Fate by Tessa Hale ~ Blog Tour w/ 4.5 Star Review & Excerpt!

Spark Of Fate, the first book in the all-new reverse harem Shifting Fate Trilogy is available now!

It was supposed to be a fresh start. A completely blank slate in a place where no one knew about the tragedy that ripped her family apart six months ago. A tragedy Rowan can’t help but blame herself for.

Now the only thing she wants is to blend in. To escape the house that has become more like a prison. Her new school is her only hope. Somewhere she can pretend she’s just like everyone else.

Only Rowan doesn’t realize how unique she is. Holden is the first to recognize it, but he’s not the last.

Rowan can’t explain the draw she feels to the guys who have found their way into her life. The way something seems to spark the first moment she touches each of them. How it almost hurts to walk away from them at the end of each day.

Things are changing, from the ripple of power humming just below her skin to this new family she’s finding herself a part of. But not all of the changes are good.

Someone doesn’t like the power Rowan is stepping into or the bonds she’s forming with the guys who have gifts as rare and strong as her own. And when the truth is revealed, it has the power to burn everything in its wake…

A Reverse Harem Romance with Shifters? Yes, please! I went into this book knowing it was paranormal but that was about all I knew. OMG, I was blown away with just how good this book was. Wolf shifters, boned mates, power, angst, steam and reverse harem. This book has it all and I loved it. Honestly it took me a few chapters to be really sucked into it but once it hit a certain point, I was obsessed and devoured every word.

“That was the thing about grief – it made everything a million times harder. Everyone dealt with that burden differently.”

After Rowan’s family suffered a devastating tragedy, her dad packed them up and moved them across the country to the middle of nowhere. The pain of what happened six months ago nearly tore Rowan apart daily, but this was also the chance to start over. To get away from the stares and whispers…one more year and she’d be off to college. She just wanted to keep her head down and make it through her senior year without any fanfare. But for some reason she feels a pull or rather a tug towards a group of guys who barely know her and are hell bent on protecting her at all costs.

“An animal howled in the distance, the sounds it made speaking right to my soul.”

With Rowan being the new girl in town and school not everyone is pleased with her getting the attention of the most popular guys. Holden, Lucas, Keene, Anson and Vaughn. Yes, that’s right, five. FIVE super-hot, super protective mates. Yup, this is the RH I didn’t even know I needed but am so damn glad we got. All five guys know who Rowan is instantly, but she doesn’t know who…or what they are. All she knows is that she feels safe with them…safer than she’s felt in a long time.

“I fractured, everything inside me seeming to shatter. And I knew when I came back together, I’d never be the same.”

Once this book picks up it never stops. Things keep happening at a steady pace that worked so well with the story. Things for Rowan are getting worse at home but she starts to see that maybe family can be more than the people you’ve known all your life who are now basically strangers. Ones that use words as weapons to hurt. The guys bring her into their fold and literally can’t be without her. She learns what they are and instead of being afraid, she’s intrigued and needs them as much as they need her. Many more questions arose and we did get a few answers. Like who or what Rowan is. I really loved Rowan. She is strong and deserves so much love. And the guys? OMG, the guys. I thought I had a favorite or two but now I have no idea. They are all amazing in their own way. I’m so excited to see how the bond they all will share increases and how everything plays out. I will say this book ended on a huge cliffhanger that I did not see coming at all. My head was spinning with that one!

“This normal was so beautiful, one that I could so easily sink into. But what would I be left with if it all fell apart?”

This is a fantastic debut novel from Tessa Hale. Complex yet relatable characters with such an amazing storyline. I loved this book so much! If you love paranormal and reverse harem this book is for you! I can’t wait to see where the author takes the next book!

“I’m fine.”

“You’re not. I can feel it.”

I tilted my head back so that I could see his face. “You felt it?”

He nodded. “I knew you were hurting somehow.” There was confusion in his expression, wariness, but also, a fierce protectiveness. “They need to shield you better.”

My hands fisted in Vaughn’s T-shirt. “They do, but no one can stop words.”

“I could,” he grunted.

“But I really don’t want you to go on a murderous rampage to stop a few mean girls.”

Vaughn’s lips twitched. “Noted.”
