Shadow by Colet Abedi ~ Release Blitz w/ 5 Star Review!

Shadow by Colet Abedi is now live!

Mission first.

Mission is why I am here on Earth.

Mission is the beginning, the middle, and the end of my entire existence.

I must remember my Breed. Remember my ancestors. Remember why I must continue on.

I can never forget what matters more than anything…

Survival.

Survival is everything.

Survival trumps all.

My mother said I should never allow my Shadow to control me.

But she was wrong.

It was my Shadow that drove me.

My Shadow that pushed me forward.

My Shadow that kept me alive.

The second book in the Breed series picks up right where the first one left off…in complete and total chaos. Siren flees OM but not before making the decision to free Michael from the cage he never should have been in. Her mission is to make it to Kingdom B. First, she must escape the reptiles who are chasing her that are intent on catching and devouring her. To Siren, survival is everything. She must complete the mission she was sent to Earth for. Survival trumps everything.

“Remember your breed. Remember your ancestors. Remember why you continue on. Never forget what matters more than anything…Survival.”

Kingdom B was the Kingdom her people told her was her mission from the beginning. The kingdom that welcomed all breeds with open arms. Make it to Kingdom B no matter what the cost. Even if you must betray those closest to you. One thing she didn’t expect to see was the Praetor of OM, Aedan.

“I have found the idea of Kingdom B is far more noble than the Kingdom itself.”

So much happens in this book and the pace is nonstop. Siren and the others quickly learn that the place they thought would offer sanctuary is not all it seems. Secrets, lies and betrayals hide in the shadows and all the breeds may not survive the battle that is sure to come.

“We were creatures who had no reverence for life. How could we ever succeed?”

I didn’t think there was any way possible that this book would be as good as the first. Breed was one the best books I’ve read. While I hoped this one would be good, I didn’t expect it to blow the first one out of the water. Shadow was brilliant. Siren and Aedan’s characters are some of my favorites. I loved them even more in this book. The author pulls us into this intricately detailed dystopian world that kept me captivated from beginning to that jaw dropping cliffhanger at the end. The characters, the breeds, the kingdoms…everything about this series so far has been phenomenal. The author doesn’t hold back, and I am one hundred percent here for it all. The cliffhanger shocked the hell out of me, and I cannot wait until the next book. Shadow was one hell of an amazing follow up to Breed. This series is a must read!

“We will not live in this world. We will fight for something new.”
