I really hate to do this. I love this author and know she had a rough year. There was a delay for the release of the last story in the trilogy. I had HUGE hopes for it but unfortunately it fell a bit short for me. There wasn’t much connection between the characters. One minute Jane Mendoza is in love and wants to stay and the next minute…she is packing up and giving up on Beau. The steam and sexiness just wasn’t in this story. I couldn’t get into this book and perhaps it was a little bit rushed to get it finished. The good news is the trilogy is complete. We can put it behind us and put this story to bed. I just felt there could have been a better ending to the series. I felt sad all the time when I was reading it. I never could connect with the characters or felt their connection. Maybe you’ll love their ending.
