This was a great love story of two people who both vowed to never love again. Sloan has just gone through a horrible ordeal with her ex and decided to start over in Texas. Texas was convenient since her mother left her a house. Dallas is a bar owner who lives across from Sloane’s new house. He has had a bad experience that has left his heart shattered. He has a heart of gold and might be one of the sweetest male characters I have read.

They meet and their attraction is real. But Dallas acts like a jerk and pushes her away. Their paths cross again and these two find themselves thrust into each others lives for the foreseeable future. This was a great love story from start to finish and it didn’t feel forced or rushed. I loved watching these two work through their own issues and heal and come together. There were some funny scenes with other characters that I’d love to have their own books. It was a pleasant addition to Dallas and Sloane’s story. Definitely recommend this one!
