Clutch by Drew Elyse~ Blog Tour with Review

Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple.

Cami was born into the Savage Disciples MC, but she ventured out to build a life of her own away from the club. She’s engaged now, living a new life despite missing the bikers that raised her. Overall, she’s… fine.
Sure, fine. She’s fine with the fiancé who is more interested in position and image than the woman in his life. She’s fine with the fake people around and the suffocating passive aggression. She’s fine with the fact that she is turning to drugs to self-medicate.

A Disciple will fight like a savage for what he wants.

When Gauge tags along to visit his club brother’s daughter, he can’t believe the two women he meets: the fiery daughter of a biker and the puppet with the blank affect. And yet, they’re both Cami.
He sees the fire beneath surface, and he wants to watch it burn. He wants to rip away the man smothering her like a wet blanket. He wants to see the flames consume that cookie-cutter future-wife facade to the ground and dance with her in the flames.

When this biker clutches onto a Disciple’s daughter, there is no letting go.

Drew Elyse spends her days trying to convince the world that she is, in fact, a Disney Princess, and her nights writing tear-jerking and smutty romance novels. Her debut novel, Dissonance, released in August of 2014.

When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found over-analyzing every line of a book, binge watching a series on Netflix, doing strange vocal warm ups before singing a variety of music styles, or screaming at the TV during a Chicago Blackhawks game.

A graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a BA in English, she still lives in Chicago, IL where she was born and raised with her boyfriend and her prima donna pet rabbit, Lola.

Clutch by Drew Elyse

eKindle Review by: Jen

Clutch by Drew Elyse is the 1st book in her Savage Disciples series and gives us the story of Cami and Gauge. Cami was born and raised in the MC lifestyle but leaves it behind when she goes off to college and falls in love. Although she is engaged to her college sweetheart Cami doesn’t realize how unhappy with her life she is until her father and Gauge, another MC member, come and pay her a visit. The initial meeting between Cami and Gauge you can just feel the chemistry burning off the page between the two. What was just a change random meeting grows into an unexpected friendship/flirting between the two. It isn’t until Cami vents to Guage about her life that he lets loose his true thoughts about her and the life she is living. Although totally pissed at him for saying what she said- it is the hard reality that Cami is living. She realizes that this life she is living is not the one she wants and takes the action to set her life on the path she wants. Guage couldn’t be more ecstatic to hear that Cami is not only leaving her unhappy life behind but she is coming to him. As Cami and Gauge set forth on this new journey of trying to make it together they soon realize that although their chemistry is off the charts there are outside forces that may be hell bent on trying to keep them apart.

I read some of the other books in the series so I was excited to read the first book and see how the series got started. I really liked how Drew writes her characters and story. There were a few parts where I felt it was a bit rushed but that is me just being greedy and not wanting the story to end. If you are a MC genre fan this is definitely a great read! You won’t be disappointed.

eKindle Review by: Jen

Lost Rider by Harper Sloan is one of those emotionally charged books that you can’t put down and once you finish reading you can’t stop thinking about the characters. I was so desperate to read this book that I found myself sneaking breaks in at work just to read one more page. I was THAT addicted to the story and invested that much in the characters. As I saw the number of pages dwindle down on my kindle as I read the story I couldn’t help but get mad because I did not want their story to end… ever! But that is just me being super greedy!

As with all her books, Harper, gives us amazing characters that you not only root for and fall in love with but find pieces of yourself in them as well. Lost Rider is the story of Maverick and Leighton who have been in each other’s lives their entire life. Leighton is best friends with Maverick’s little sister Quinn and has always had a crush on Maverick and when she finally has the courage to step up and tell him her world is crushed by words that can never be taken back. As her world is crushed and heart is broken Maverick makes good on a promise that he has always said would happen- he leaves everything and everyone behind to chase his dreams. It’s only years later, when his dreams are no longer attainable and his family needs him back home, does Maverick make the journey back to the place he promised he would never return to. As years of pent up anger and desire combust will Leighton and Maverick be able to put the past behind them and move on together? Or are the wounds they each carry too deep to heal that will allow them to move on?

Let me start off by saying that Maverick is the ultimate cowboy…and…. really makes me want to pack my bags and move to Texas. He is the kind of man that opens doors for his lady *swoon*, knows his way around the bedroom *wink* , and can admit when he makes a mistake (although it may take him a loooonnnngggg time to admit it but who cares can we get an hallelujah for a guy realizing and correcting his mistakes!) Leighton is your girl next door whose insecurities have sometimes kept her from coming out of her shell but refuses to shut her mouth when she has something on her mind. I LOVED her for her fierceness, what she perceived as her flaws, and her ability to speak her mind and stand up for what she believes in. She is one strong lady! Leighton and Maverick’s chemistry can seriously make sheets on a bed combust! WOW!! Their passion, desire, and love is off the charts. I loved reading about them and their story. I just have to say how much I loved the relationship between Leighton and Quinn. Their friendship is one that is loyal and unbreakable and I can’t wait to read more about their friendship!

Thank you Harper Sloan for once again giving us an amazing story. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series!

I should tell Quinn and Clay that he’s here. But one look at him and it’s like the last ten years have never passed and I’m back at the bonfire, the awkward high schooler uncomfortable in her own skin. Marching away from him in the woods. It was the last time I saw him. How is it possible that he can affect me this much after all this time?

He hasn’t noticed me, not with his head bowed, so I quickly turn around and focus on Pastor John as he finishes up his prayer. Him being here means nothing. I should be happy that I remember the pain from that night so well, it will make keeping my walls up around him so much easier.

“On behalf of the Davis family, I want to thank everyone for coming today. At this time, the family has asked for some time alone as they say their good-byes. They wanted me to remind everyone that the PieHole will be opening up for a few hours tonight starting at five for anyone that wishes to join them.”

I keep my arm around Quinn, not looking back to where I saw Maverick. I can hear the church slowly emptying and I feel a frown pull at my lips. I had hoped that when everyone started to leave that he would have come up front to be with his family, but so far, the pew we’re in is still empty save for the three of us. We sit and wait for everyone to leave, something that Clay had asked Pastor John to make arrangements for in place of the customary recessional, knowing that no one in this town would really mean a word of it anyway. Plus, I know Quinn is having a hard time. Regardless of the fact that she wasn’t the closest with her father, she was really counting on this—Maverick home. She’s still shaking in my arms, but when I look over at Clay I realize his silence isn’t because of the heaviness of Buford’s death, but instead anger over his brother’s absence that has started to build to a boil. I fear that he’s seconds away from tipping over the edge.

I stand when Clay and Quinn do, but hang back at the edge of the row we had been sitting in as they meet Pastor John and gather their father’s ashes. I can’t wait to get out of these heels. If it would have been acceptable to wear my boots, I would have, but Quinn would have killed me. As it is, I feel like I can’t take a deep breath with how tight my dress is against my chest. I never wear tight shirts. I haven’t since my boobs became beasts of their own right. I’m too busy fiddling with the straps of my dress, trying desperately to get some of the pressure against my chest to ease up so I could take a deep breath, when I heard Quinn gasp.

“Mav!” Next thing I know she’s running past where I’m standing, her black hair streaming in the air behind her as she speeds forward right into her brother’s arms. Clay moves to stand next to me and I look up to meet his green eyes, the questions he isn’t vocalizing dancing in their emerald depths. He’s not stupid and I’m doing a crappy job at hiding the memories haunting me right now. He gives me a small smile, shifting his hold on the urn to wrap his free arm around me and pulls me into a strong hold.

“You’re shakin’,” he says against my temple and I just nod.

“I’m good, Clay. Go see your brother.”

“I’m fine right where I am, sugar.”

I keep my eyes to the ground, focusing on his worn boots instead of looking up, hating myself for making this moment about me when I should be focused on them. Like it or not, I can’t fight the feelings that being near him bring me. I’m that stupid, naive sixteen-year-old all over again. “Let’s get out of here,” he says after a few silent seconds. I look up and give him a smile, hoping that it looks a hell of a lot braver than I feel. Inside I feel like I might puke.

“You think I could have a second with my family?”

My head shoots up at the coldness I hadn’t anticipated in Maverick’s voice. He’s not focused on me, though, instead looking at his brother with a hard expression and one brow raised upward.

“Mav!” Quinn gasps and he moves his attention from his brother to her.

“Sorry, Quinn, but I’m thinkin’ that Clay’s lady friend would understand that this should be a moment for our family and give us time alone.”

“I’ll just—”

“Don’t you dare finish that sentence, sugar,” Clay all but spits through clenched teeth and drops his arm to take a step forward. “You’ve got something to say, Mav, then say it.”

“Nothing to say, Clayton, I just think it would be nice for your girlfriend to give us some space.”

“My girlfriend,” he parrots sarcastically, his deep voice vibrating in anger.

“Mav.” Quinn attempts to butt in, but stops when Maverick leaves her side and turns to stalk out of the church. I should find it comical that he obviously didn’t recognize me, or hell, maybe he did and he’s just picking up where he left off ten years ago in the middle of the dark woods. I take a deep breath. “It’s okay. He’s right. Y’all need some time as a family. I’ll head over to the PieHole and start settin’ up for tonight.”

Quinn brushes a tear from her cheek and just shakes her head. I look at Clay to see him staring in the direction that his brother just left.

“You’re family,” he finally says, not looking in my direction.

“Clay, really, it’s okay. It’s been a long time since y’all were back together and I don’t need to be there for that reunion. It sucks that it takes all of this to finally bring him home, but he’s here and y’all need to make up for a lot of time lost.”

“Shut up, Leighton.”

“Don’t, Clay.”

“Don’t what? You’ve got every right to be here. You’re just as much a part of our family as he is. Hell, maybe even more so than he is at this point. So just shut up, come with us, and ignore him.”

I shake my head, the fight instantly leaving my sails, knowing I would be arguing until the end of time if I

pressed this issue.

“I can’t believe he doesn’t even recognize you,” Quinn whispers.

I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to write this review because I feel praise alone is not enough. I have been a HUGE K. Bromberg fan ever since I got my greedy hands on Driven. She sucked me in as a loyal fan and reader and with each book she writes and her grip on me gets stronger and stronger. I refuse to give anything away about the story as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else but The Player is an amazing story that gives you all the feels!!! I honestly don’t know who I feel more in love with—Easton, the insanely hot baseball player who is trying to live up to his father’s expectations, or  Scout, the therapist who is trying to rehab Easton’s injury and help her father succeed in achieving a lifetime goal.  Both of them have goals they want to obtain but neither one of them expected the connection between them. You can’t help but feel and root for both of them to not only be together but to achieve their goals and aspirations. I got to be honest here—– Scout may be one of my all –time favorite heroines. She is just so real- her honesty and insecurities make her so relatable you can’t help but love her! And Easton— ohhhhhhhhh boyyyyyy!!! Where do I even begin with him! He is book husband material!!!!! I la la la la love him!!!!!

The Player for me has easily become my favorite book by K. Bromberg and let me tell you it was a hard task to beat out Slow Burn! I can’t wait to see what more she gives us this summer….. (yep that’s the only hint I will drop— not sure what I mean.. pick up a copy of the book and you will surly understand!)! As always you will not be disappointed with this book- go one click it and enjoy!!

You’re The Only One takes us on an emotional journey of Sky and Dylan who have been best friends and are trying to navigate their lives as the grow up and take on their dreams. Always being each other’s’ biggest  cheerleaders and fans the friendship bond between them is strong and sometimes intimidating to others. It appears that relationships have taken a turn for the wrost when the other party can’t get over their own insecurities about Sky and Dylan’s best friendship. I just have to say I LOVED how protective of their friendship they were and that they would never let anyone who they were dating force them to stop being friends. The loyalty and honesty that they had with one another is ones that sometimes even the greatest of relationships fail to have. As Sky and Dylan both look to reach their dreams, their everyday life and new relationship starts to take a toll on their bond. It isn’t till a few encounters do Sky and Dylan start to think/see the other in a different light. Each one afraid that the other wouldn’t feel the same Sky and Dylan a bit of a two-step dance around each other and their true feelings. Will these two be able to take a chance one love with one or another or is it better to play it safe in fear of losing one another completely?

I really enjoyed this book although at some points I wanted to shake both characters and tell them to get their acts together—together!! I loved how throughout the entire story despite if they were dating one another Sky and Dylan were always intoned to one another’s feelings. If you are looking for a best friends to lovers story this is definitely the book for you. The chemistry and love story is amazing and you can’t help but finish it with a HUGE smile on your face!!!

The Boudreaux Series. Sexy. Intriguing. Easy.

Family. Responsibility. Stability.

As the co-CEO of Bayou Enterprises, and the eldest of the Boudreaux clan, Beau is the epitome of these. Now that his baby sister Gabby is happily settled down, Beau has moved into the company loft in the heart of the French Quarter to be closer to his office while his own home is built. He doesn’t have time for anything but the family he adores and the company that drives him.

If only the bewitching owner of the herb shop downstairs from Beau’s loft wasn’t so damn tempting.

Mallory Adams is living the life. The good life. The best life for her. After years of hiding who she is, and the gifts she’s been cursed with, Mallory opened her little shop in the French Quarter, offering herbs and lotions for anything from soothing a sunburn to chasing those pesky ghosts New Orleans is known for out of a client’s home. Some call her eccentric, and some say she’s simply odd, and that’s okay with her. She is a bit odd, but in her experience, all of the best people are.

When an old pipe bursts in the loft above her store, flooding her storeroom, Mallory comes face to face with Beau Boudreaux, and she doesn’t need the clairvoyant abilities that have been passed down through generations to know that she’ll never be the same. Beau is her exact opposite; serious, straitlaced. He wears suits for Pete’s sake and probably wouldn’t know the difference between arnica and flaxseed if his life depended on it. But when he touches her, the electricity is through the roof and she’s smart enough to know that a chemistry like theirs doesn’t happen every day.

Can two people so very different possibly find their way to happily ever after?

Let me start off by saying that although this book is part of a series it can totally be read as a standalone. However you will WANT to read all the books in this series and every single other series by Kristen Proby because they are all simply awesome. For those of you who have been reading this story we are finally given Beau and Mal’s story. I, for one, have always wanted to know Beau’s story. He is the oldest sibling who takes it upon himself to be the pretty much protector of the family and family business. It isn’t until Mal knocks the wind out of his sails and lets him see that not everything in life is cut and dry or black and white. Sometimes is the gray areas or the things that can’t easily be explained that led us on the path we were always meant to be on. Sometimes in life and love you just have to accept the things that cannot be easily explained or are different from what our society deems as “normal”. I LOVED Mal because she definitely is not a damsel in distress. If anything she takes on a lot and tries not to lean on others for help except for her best friend Lena and her grandmother. From the very beginning of their relationship Mal and Beau have promised up front honestly at all times. As Mal and Beau become more comfortable in their relationship it becomes jeopardized when an event from the past is brought into their present risking their future together.

I love being transported back to the Big Easy in this series. Kristen writes these stories in such a way that you feel as if you are walking down the street in the French Quarter! New Orleans is known for many things but their history with paranormal is one of my favorite attributes about the city. I loved how that was intertwined in the story and with the characters. As always Kristen does not disappoint- I lovde the banter between all the characters, the catching up with past couples and of coarse those infamous hilarious GNO (girls night out)!! You honestly can’t help but fall for her characters! As always another 5 star book by Kristen and I am anticipating the release of not only the next book in this series but any book by her!

“I’ve always had a knack for knowing what people need,” she says softly, as if she’s choosing her words very carefully. I don’t know why that bothers me. I want her to speak her mind, to not have to censor what she says.

But this is a good start.

“In what way?”

“Maybe someone has headaches, or their feet hurt. I have essential oils and herbs that can help with those things.”

I nod.

“My grandmother taught me all about alternative medicine from the time I was a child. She wasn’t crazy with it,” she says quickly, “she still believed in western medicine as well, but why take a pain reliever full of chemicals if you can just put a drop of oil on the back of your neck to get the same result?”

She shrugs and reaches for the dessert, smiles when she opens the box, and digs in with enthusiasm.

“I thought it would be fun to open a store full of those things,” she continues. “I wanted the bottles to be pretty, and everything to be tied with a bow. I wanted a place where people enjoyed coming in, even if only to browse. It smells good, the energy is calming.”

And I realize that that’s exactly how I feel whenever I’ve been in her store.

“I’d say you’ve accomplished those things.”

“Thank you.” Her smile is huge and genuine. “That’s really the best compliment I could ever get.”

“Really?” I cock a brow and watch her lashes flutter. “I’d also say you’re stunning. I want to bury my fingers in that amazing curly hair of yours.”

There must be something in the food that’s making me speak so freely. But Mallory seems to bring out my flirty side.

I’d forgotten that I had a flirty side.

Her smile slips just a bit, and her cheeks flush, and I know she’d look just like that when I’m buried balls deep inside her.

“That’s very nice of you.”

“But not what you want to hear.”

“Well, don’t get me wrong, every woman wants to be told she’s pretty.”

“I didn’t say pretty,” I reply and lean in, resting my elbows on her desk. “’Pretty’ is too dull of a word to describe you.”

“You’re an interesting man,” she says, tilting her head to the side and studying my face with narrowed violet eyes. “You just say whatever you’re feeling.”

“Not always,” I reach out to tuck her hair behind her ear and she stiffens. I pause, keeping my eyes pinned to hers before I slowly brush just the pads of my fingertips over the outline of her ear, tucking that soft curly hair, then lowering my hand back to the desk. “But I see no reason to not be honest with you.”

“I opened this shop because I love it,” she says, her voice still soft but firm. She’s not weak in any way, and that pulls at me like a siren’s song. “I want to help people if I can, even if it’s just to moisturize their hands. And I like this building.”

“There are other streets with more foot traffic.”

“And I like where I am,” she says again. “I do well here.”

“I’m glad you do.” I nod and without giving it much thought, reach out to pull my fingertips over her hand. My eyes are watching hers as I do, and I can see the hesitation just before I touch her, and then the relief when my skin rests on hers.

She doesn’t like to be touched.

“Tell me more,” I say softly.

“That’s all there is about the store.”

“Tell me about you.”

She pulls her hand out from under mine and sits back in her chair. “I think you’d better go, before I tell you more than I want to.”

I cock a brow. “I’m a fan of honesty.”

“Good.” She nods once and begins loading the empty boxes in the trash. “I’m in favor of being honest, and in that same spirit, I’m exhausted, Beau.”

“I know. I am, too.”

But I’m not ready to say goodbye to her yet. I’m afraid that we’ll go our separate ways, and I won’t see her again.

“What are you thinking?” she asks.

“That I want to see you again.”

“You live upstairs from my shop,” she reminds me. “I don’t see how we could avoid it.”

“We avoided it for a damn long time,” I say and stand, shoving my hands in my pockets. “But I won’t make that mistake again.”

Meghan March does it again! This book is everything you could want and then some. I refuse to give away any hints or spoilers about this book because everyone deserves the chance to read this book with a fresh mind and no hints of what is about to happen. Dane and Kat are have squeezed their way into my heart as one of my favorite couples. They are real… they are complicated… they are just like everyday people. I love the fact that despite how things may feel and look on the outside of their relationship they fight for what they want and believe in each other. I finished this book in one sitting because honestly I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!! Even if I wanted to put it down I just couldn’t- I constantly found excuses to read one more page and one more chapter.

This book takes you on quite the journey- to be honest one I didn’t see coming but enjoyed every single minute of it. The chemistry between Dane and Kat is off the charts!!! However hot and amazing their chemistry is, their personnel connection is deep. You not only read but you can feel it too. I am already looking forward to having some free time so I can reread this magical story that Meghan March has opened our eyes to. This book is another 5 star book by Meghan March and as always I am anticipating her next release because she never disappoints!

SWEET RIVALRY - Tour banner

sweetrivRyder Rodgers had a plan.

He was going to stride into the conference room, do the required song and dance over the next five days, and win the biggest contract of his career. But when he walked in and heard the voice of one of his competitors, all his plans were shot to hell.

Harper Denton. She was always on top. In college. First in their class. Always using every advantage to edge him out to win the coveted positions. The only one who could beat him. His academic rival. More like a constant thorn in his side. And his ego’s.

When he heard her voice, he was brought back to years before. To the bitter taste of being second best. But the woman who meets his gaze is nothing like the drab wallflower he used to know. Hell no. She was all woman now: curves, confidence, and staggering sex appeal. And no doubt, still brilliant.

The fact that she’s gorgeous and bright won’t distract him. This time, Ryder’s determined to be the one on top. But not if Harper can help it.

Sweet Rivalry by K. Bromberg is super fun, sexy, and cool story that leaves with a huge satisfied grin on your face! I knew going into this book that it wasn’t going to be a super long story and damn I wanted more! Don’t get me wrong the story is complete I am just selfish in the sense that I could read K. Bromberg all day every day and never tire of it. So,,,Sweet Rival is the story of Harper and Ryder…and can we just take a moment to appreciate how hot those names are! Seriously! Well, Harper and Ryder have known each other and have been competitors with one another since they were in school together. Being a competitive person myself I know the feeling that there is no better reward then beating out competition especially when they are the opposite sex. Little does Harper and Ryder know that after seeing each other for the first time in over 10 years that once friendly school time competition has turned into a full blown sexual tension lust filled competitive bid for their respective companies.

I loved the banter between the two characters and honestly it was like listening to old friends go back and forth. I loved that while being hard core and no nonsense at times Harper was also a bit insecure, for me it made her more real and vulnerable. Ryder is sexy, funny, and honestly a great book boyfriend and I want more of him! When you read his description and visualize it—-YUMMY!!!!! Seriously he has girls shaking at the knees!

This book in true K. Bromberg fashion has it all! Regardless of what K. Bromberg writes it is pure magic on paper! Do yourself a HUGE favor- and one click it. You will finish it in one sitting and wont regret it!

Work first. Reward sex next.

That’ll give me something to look forward to during the next few days. The ones I can’t wait to dive headfirst into that will be an ever-changing combination of stress, exhaustion, strategy, and manipulation. An unscripted dance amongst us bidders while we size each other up, calculate our numbers, and explain to the developer why we’re the most valuable candidate for the job.

It’s the game I love. The competition I thrive on. My return to the job that I’ve been desperate to make.

And there’d be no better way to make a statement that Harper Denton is back than to leave this building with the multimillion dollar contract for Meteor Development tucked securely under my arm.

And just like that, as a reward for my positive thinking, when I look up, there he is, in full view.

I take in the expensive briefcase, the venti Starbucks, and the expensive watch peeking out from beneath the cuff of his shirt. And just my luck that while I’m afforded a full view of his body, the one thing I’m the most curious about is obscured by his hand holding his cell phone up to his ear: his face.

So instead I drink him in. He really is magnificent. I note his posture and the way he carries his body when he moves forward a few steps. There’s an air about him that says he’s no-nonsense and in control, powerful, and at the same time he doesn’t seem uptight. He has that Southern

California professional vibe. I can’t put my finger on it but he reminds me of someone I can’t quite place. Regardless, a man who can pull off being in control and playful has definite merits.

Like “spank me until my body aches in want, and then make a game of hitting each erogenous zone with his tongue before he’ll satisfy that ache he created and let me come” type of merits.

The mind-blowing-sex reward just became even more appealing.
