Dance With Me, an all-new novel in her beloved With Me In Seattle Series by New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby

Starla. Just Starla.

She doesn’t have a last name, and she doesn’t need one. Not with that many Grammys on her mantel. Everyone knows her kick-ass, no-holds-barred style of singing, dancing, and living.

No one knows that America’s Sweetheart is still living with the wreckage of four years ago, when her world was torn apart. Losing her fiancé was devastating, but she’s channeled all of that into her music. Closing off her heart opened a hundred new doors.

Officer Levi Crawford, Seattle PD.

For almost twenty years, Levi has been consumed by the law. He eats, sleeps, and breathes work. Not just because he’s a workaholic, but because he loves it. Sure, he doesn’t have time for a woman and barely sees the rest of his family, but it’s a trade he’s always been happy to make.

Until Starla.

Two lonely hearts could learn to beat again, if they’re willing to dance together.

Every single time I open a book written by Kristen Proby I get transported into a world where the characters become my friends and my reality no longer exists. I try so hard to read the story slowly because I know I won’t want it to end, but I usually end up finishing it in one sitting because I cannot put it down. Dance With Me was no exception, I finished it in one sitting and will be doing a reread of it shortly!

Dance With Me gives us the story of Stella and Levi. We were introduced to Levi prior and I could not wait to get my hands on his story. I loved how down to earth both Stella and Levi were in the book and I loved watching them navigate trying to make a relationship work when outside forces seem to be against them. Once again Kristen brings us a sweet and sexy story that does not disappoint. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book!

As always I look forward to the next story that Kristen gives us!

Excerpt

“Hello, Starla.”

“Well, shit.”

My eyes soak her in from head to toe. How did she get more beautiful than before? Her auburn hair is pulled up in a knot on top of her head, and she’s in a cropped T-shirt with a pair of skin-tight shorts.

My dick is immediately at full attention.

“Wh-what are you doing here?”

“I was over at Wyatt’s house.” I point across the street. “And he said you were staying here.”

She leans on the doorframe, crosses her arms over her chest, and bites her full bottom lip.

She’s sex personified, standing right in front of me.

“Am I under arrest?”

“No.” I reach out to brush a loose strand of hair behind her ear, and the slight contact of skin against skin sends a shock wave through my already energized body. “No, you basically fell in my lap, and I decided to take advantage of it.”

“If you think I’m going to lead you straight up to bed, you have another thing coming.”

I narrow my eyes. “You just insulted both of us.”

She sighs and shakes her head, pinches the bridge of her nose between her eyes, and then laughs. “I apologize. You surprised me. Come on in.”

She stands back, and I follow her in, looking around the open living space.

“Do you want something to drink?”

“No, thanks.”

“I need a water. Follow me.”

She walks ahead of me to the kitchen, and my eyes are pinned to her round ass. I remember how the globes of those cheeks feel in my hands as she rides me. I remember everything.

“Sure you don’t want some?”

I try to swallow around my dry tongue and just nod. “Turns out, I do.”

She passes me a bottle and then takes a sip of her own.

“So, is the tour over?” I ask.

“Yes, and I’m on vacation.” She frowns slightly, staring down at her water. “Forced vacation.”

“Why?”

She blinks up at me. “Because I was exhausted, and the doctor insisted.”

I narrow my eyes again, pissed that she worked herself into exhaustion. “Starla—”

“I’m fine,” she insists. “And I’m already feeling better. Also, I owe you an apology.”

That stops me short. “No, you don’t.”

“Oh, I do.” She takes another sip, then sets the bottle aside and leans on the island. I get a great view of her cleavage.

She’s too sexy for her own damn good.

“I’m sorry I didn’t reply to your messages, Levi.”

“Why didn’t you?”

She blows out a breath. “Because I was a little overwhelmed. The sex was—”

“Damn incredible.”

“Yeah. It was. Intense is also a good word for it, and I get the feeling that you’re an intense man.”

I nod once. “If I hurt you or scared you—”

“No, it’s not that at all,” she hurries to assure me. “I didn’t do anything that I didn’t want or enjoy. I’m sorry if I gave you that impression. I hadn’t been with a man in a long time, and we have some powerful chemistry.”

That’s the understatement of the year. I can feel the electricity flowing between us like a rushing river.

“That’s really all I’m comfortable saying right now,” she admits and swallows.

“That’s enough.”

For now.

I have read every book of the Big Sky series so to say I was excited to finally get Willa and Max’s story is an understatement. We have seen glimpses of them as side characters throughout the first two books so my interest in them had been piqued. When this showed up on my kindle I could not wait to jump right in. I actually ended up forgoing most of sleep that first night because I was so caught up in the story! Let me now just say that although this is book #3 in the Big Sky series it can be read as a stand alone although I highly recommend everyone reading the entire series.

Willa may be one of my favorite female characters that Kristen has written. She is smart, successful, sexy and does it all while being a single mom to her son. Life had dealt her a rough hand but she never shied away from life or her responsibilities and I love that about her. Max, our hero of the story, is oh so scrumptious! He has a heart of gold and is one of the good guys, you know the ones that are hard to find these days. Willa and Max initially dated when they were younger but life and wanting to succeed ended their relationships. Although they both parted ways and moved on, there was always this underlying adoration for one another. Years after a life altering event Max and Willa find themselves running in the same social circles again. It doesn’t take long for both of their feelings for one another to start igniting. I love that we are able to witness their relationship grow and develop and it is so real and honest. Kristen truly knows how to write romance novels and it is evident in the growth the characters experience.

You cannot go wrong with this book. I loved it on so many levels and as always am so anxious to see what else Kristen has up her sleeve. She always is and always will be a one click author for me no matter what!

All My Life by Prescott Lane ~ Release Blitz w/ Two Great Reviews!

AML-RB-Banner.jpg

“Hot single dad devoted to his daughter? Second chances? All the tension you could ask for? Look no further! Devoured this gem and you will too!”- Rachel Van Dyken, #1 New York Times bestselling author

All My Life, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by Prescott Lane is now LIVE!

All My Life_Amazon_KOBO_iBooks

The beginning of any love story starts with the meet.

I’ve known Garrett Hollis since before I can remember, and I’ve loved him just as long. I loved him while he loved someone else. I loved him when he had a baby with her. I loved him when she left him.

The greatestof love stories is that between a dad and his daughter. I should know. I’ve had a front row seat. First steps, first words, all the big moments.

Garrett was just a teenager when Mia was born. I’ve watched him braid his daughter’s hair, hold her hand crossing the street, seen her asleep on his chest. I’m the best friend, the one they can count on for everything from dance lessons to motherly advice, anything they need. I’m their go-to girl.

The bestpart of any love story is the happily ever after.

But what if the happily ever after doesn’t include you?

All my life, that’s how long I’ve loved him.

Of course, he’s clueless.

A stand-alone, contemporary romance.

WOW!!! This book completely took me by surprise! I had a feeling based from the blurb that I would enjoy it but I completely fell in love with it. I honestly could not put it down! I found myself running late for things because I just wanted to finish a few more pages. I can tell you one thing, this was my first book I read by Prescott Lane and it sure won’t be the last!

All My Life gives us the story of Garrett, Mia and Devlyn. Mia is Garrett’s daughter who he has raised pretty much all by himself since her mom walked out on them after she was born. When everyone else in town turned their backs on Garrett, Devlyn was the one friend who refused to do so. She stepped up and was a friend to him when he didn’t have any. As he raised Mia, Devlyn was always there cheering them on and helping them in any way she can. Little to Garrett’s knowledge, Devlyn always had feelings for Garrett but never brought them up because it was never the right time and she was always looked upon as the “family friend”. When Mia’s high school graduation speech goes viral due to the fact that in it she tries to find her dad a dating life, Garrett sees an increase in woman coming to town to try and win the single dad’s heart. Little does he know that with each date he goes on he is finally able to see that what he wants may be right in front. As his dating life picks up steam, Devlyn is worried that she may never get a chance to be with the guy who she always had her heart set on. With new people coming into their lives and people from their past making things difficult, will Garrett and Devlyn be able to get a real chance together or will life once again keep them apart?

As I stated earlier I LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK! It was everything I could have wanted!

Wow!! What an amazing read! I fell in love immediately with this book. I loved the storyline and the flow of it. I enjoyed the flashbacks and the little secrets that were revealed throughout. Devlyn is such a sweetheart. This is probably one of the most selfless heroines I’ve ever read and I find a lot of myself in her actions in some ways. So easy to relate to. Garrett…now y’all have to read. Cause as he may be a dad let me tell ya…he pulls some undad like moves! In the best ways possible! I swooned!!! This book was so good! I loved it and wanted more. The conflict that happens had my stomach twisting and I was so damn mad it’s not funny! But extremely well worth it in the end. Overall this is a feel good read. One you can just set back and enjoy without guilt for forgetting the laundry!!

I have been anxiously waiting for Kissing Jenna for what seems like a long time. We caught glimpses of Jenna Hull in other books, but I wanted to know her story. She is a successful entrepreneur, a great sister and from what I know about her from other books someone who I would want to be friends with in real life. I just couldn’t wait to see what Kristen had up her sleeve for Jenna’s story! Let me tell you – this story did not disappoint!

In Kissing Jenna we are given Jenna and Christian Wolfe’s story! Christian is staying at Jenna’s brand new tree house vacation rental as he learns to ski and prepares for his next movie role. Prepare for next movie role? Yep, Christian Wolfe is Hollywood’s “IT” actor and this break to Montana is to give him some privacy and a bit of a time out from all the fame he deals with in Hollywood. Upon first meeting Christian he can’t believe that Jenna actually treats him just like she would anyone else. He finds it refreshing and attractive. As they continue to spend time together Christian realizes that Jenna is as real as they come and he can’t help but start to fall for her. Jenna isn’t impressed with Christian being Hollywood’s IT actor. Instead she is impressed with the man behind the fame, the one she is learning about every single day. As they start to spend more time together and learning about one another, it isn’t long before the chemistry between them heats up! They both realize that being with one another makes them happy. However, can this become a reality when Christian has an expiration date on his vacation to Montana and Jenna is tied down there? Will they be able to find a way around real life obstacles or will they just be fond memory to one another?

I absolutely LOVED this story!! I had such a hard time putting it down and functioning in the real world. Kristen Proby does it YET again, another 5 star book!! As always I am beyond excited and ready for whatever Kristen is going to give us next!

Excerpt

“Come on in. This is your home away from home for the next four weeks.” I pause in the kitchen while he wanders through the space, looking outside, then taking in the blue kitchen cabinets, the large gas fireplace, and the comfortable furniture. “In the email correspondence, you asked for extra groceries to be stocked in the kitchen, and I’ve done that for you.”

“Thanks,” he says. “Where’s the closest Starbucks?”

I lean my hip on the counter and take a sip of my now lukewarm coffee. “In town.”

“Not on the mountain?”

“There’s a coffee shop up here, yes, but it doesn’t open until tomorrow when the season officially starts. I believe that’s the case for the restaurants up here, too.”

“So, no food up here?”

I shake my head. “No, but I’ll take pity on you and make you dinner tonight, if you like.”

His eyes narrow, suspicion written all over his face. “Why would you do that?”

I lean in as if I’m about to tell him a secret and whisper loudly, “Because I’m a nice person.”

He doesn’t smile.

“You can figure it out for yourself if you want to.” I shrug and lead him to the barn door that closes the small bedroom off the living space. “This is the bedroom on this level. There’s a bathroom here, too. I’ll show you the upstairs.”

I climb the stairs, certain that his eyes are on my ass, and hear him gasp when we reach the top.

“Cool, huh?”

“Beautiful,” he murmurs again, looking up.

Disgrace, an all-new romantic and emotional standalone from Brittainy C. Cherry is available NOW!

bcherry-disgrace-amazon

Synopsis

Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again.

After fifteen years together, he walked away from me, and into the arms of another.

I didn’t know how to cope. I didn’t know my worth. I didn’t know how to exist without him by my side.

All I wanted was for him to come back to me.

Then, Jackson Emery appeared.

He was supposed to be a distraction for my mind. A summer fling. A confidence boost to my bruised heart.

We were perfect for one another, because we both knew we wouldn’t last. Jackson didn’t believe in commitment, and I no longer believed in love. He was too closed-off for me, and I was too damaged for him.

Everything was fine, until one night my heart skipped a beat.

I didn’t expect him to make me laugh. To make me think. To make my sadness somewhat disappear.

When our time was up, my heart didn’t know how to walk away.

Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again, yet slowly my prayers began to shift toward the man who wasn’t right for me.

I prayed for one more smile, one more kiss, one more laugh, one more touch…

I prayed for him to be mine.

Even though I knew his heart wasn’t destined to love.

WOW!! Brittany Cherry has done it yet again! Every book of Brittany Cherry’s that I read leaves me breathless. She evokes such emotions in her writing that it always takes me a few days to recover from her books. I don’t know why, maybe because of personal things going on in my life, but this book spoke straight to my heart and soul. I found myself highlighting sentence after sentence, quote after quote, because I felt everything the characters were saying and feeling.

“Sometimes, the hardest thing in the world is to love someone who broke your heart.”

Disgrace is one of the best reads of 2018 for me. It had everything I love in a book – angst, chemistry, heartbreak, strength, and SO much more. I will not give any of this story away as everyone should experience it with no spoilers. Disgrace is the story of Grace and Jackson – both are experiencing personal heartache that is overwhelming and at times they unsure of how to deal with it or stand up to it. At first meeting Grace and Jackson are like oil and water – they just are two different souls, too scorned by their past, and almost unwilling not to see past the gossip and rumor of who one another is. As the story unfolds, the walls that Grace and Jackson have around them start to come down. Little do they know that with each interaction they are starting to become better/stronger versions of themselves with the help of one another. I think one of my favorite themes of this book was the self-discovery aspect. Finding out who you truly are, then knowing and accepting who you truly are is an amazing feat. It is for sure one journey I am personally taking myself. I could go on and on for days about how fantastic and wonderful this book was but I feel it would not do it justice. I cannot recommend this book enough – please read it. It will open your heart, set your soul going, and make you think about things in your own life. This is by far a 5++++ star book for me. Thank you Brittainy for another amazing read – one that I know I will be rereading plenty of times!!

Jackson

“I’ve read about boys like you in books, ya know,” she whispered, her fingers slowly spinning spirals on my chest.

“Oh, yeah? What did those books teach you about boys like me?”

“Well…” She bit her bottom lip, and with a small inhalation, she whispered, “They taught me to stay away.”

“Then why are you so close?”

She tilted her head up, looking me straight in the eyes. “Because in those stories, the heroine never ever listens.”

“And then there’s trouble?” I asked.

“Yes, and then there’s trouble.”

From the way she said those words, I knew trouble was exactly what she was in search of. We were the classic cliché. She was the good girl next door, I the monster from around the block. We were perfect opposites for the perfect storm, and she was asking me to be her next flaw, her greatest mistake.

And, well, who was I not to live up to her request?

“I could destroy you,” I warned.

“Or save me.”

“Is it worth the risk?”

“Isn’t it always worth the risk?”

The more she touched me, the more I wanted to touch her back. I wrapped my hands around her wrists flipping us around so she was now against the wall with her hands above her head. “I have rules.” I leaned in closer, lightly brushing my lips against her neck. God, she smelled good, like peaches and my next sin. “You can’t break these rules, either.” My tongue rolled from my mouth and circled against her neck before I gently sucked her skin.

She shivered at my touch. “What are they?”

“Rule one,” I whispered, my mouth moving across her collarbone. “You never stay the night.”

“Check.”

“Rule number two,” I said, dropping her left arm to the side. Taking my hand to the bottom of her blouse, I slowly raised it up and massaged her skin. “You never develop feelings.”

“That’s easy enough,” she replied, her breaths uneven as I teased at the top button on her jeans. “I don’t believe in feelings anymore.”

I didn’t know why, but that made me sad for her. I, too, didn’t believe in falling for people, but that was my norm. Grace seemed the type to believe in something bigger than love, so the fact that her belief was completely gone was a bit surprising.

Maybe we had more in common than I thought.

“Rule number three…we don’t talk about my life.”

“Like ever?”

“Never.”

“Okay.”

“And lastly, rule number four…” My mouth brushed against hers, and I slid my tongue slowly across her bottom lip. “If your favorite pair of panties get ripped, don’t expect me to replace them.”
