Nix “Mercy” watches over the little girl who saved his life when his father would have taken it. Over the years, he has earned the reputation of being the monster you don’t want to run into during the night. Although his appearance scares most people, he will stop at nothing to protect the people he cares about. But Becca has no idea someone is watching over her. Following her every move.

“My father and I had a woman in common. He hated her. I loved her. I felt a wave of déjà vu.

I was strong this time. The result would be different. Becca would live through his obsessions, unlike my mom.”

I have so many mixed feelings about this beautiful story. Nix didn’t have a loving childhood and I felt so torn that he was broken and felt unworthy of love. Although he was all stalky and protective of his girl, Becca, I loved the slow burn between them once he braves rejection to meet her in real life. He gradually tries to tell Becca about the danger she’s in but I wanted to shake him and say…spill it! My favorite stories always include characters that make their own family and Animal and Nix certainly fall into that category. The brotherly love these two have for one another was sweet and never ending. I can’t wait for Animal’s book to find out all the secrets he’s been squirreling away from Nix.

There was something about Nix that really spoke to me. Although he was protecting everyone else, I really wanted to protect Nix! This dysfunctional story was probably one of my favorites of 2017.

New York Barons tight end Gavin Brawley is suspended from the team and on house arrest after a video of him brawling goes viral. And while he’s been successful professionally, he’s never been lucky when it comes to love.

Noah Monroe is a recent college grad looking for a job—any job—to pay off his mounting student debt. Working as Gavin’s personal assistant/babysitter seems like easy money. Gavin doesn’t want any help after he’s sentenced to house arrest and suspended from his NFL football team but his agent insists upon one. Noah just lost his last job in social work because slept with the wrong man at work. The two couldn’t be more opposite but Noah takes the job to help out his unemployed father and pay back student loans. With an antagonistic beginning these two slowly navigate working together while an unexpected attraction blossoms. Will a closeted football player with anger issues and a nerdy personal assistant find a way to work and play together?

“A man who could have anyone he wanted, man or woman, had acted like a brush of my lips had given him life. And that was fucking surreal. And dangerous.

It could never happen again.”

Wow…I loved Gavin and Noah’s story. Like Noah, I’m not a huge sports fan. These two clash constantly because nerdy Noah has preconceived notions about how easy and privileged Gavin’s hetero life must be and Gavin doesn’t want someone with him constantly that might sell him out in the end. But really….it’s all about the off the charts attraction, people! I love the way the author deals with all of the emotions that develop between these two and the real life issues they face when the world intrudes. I actually was tearing up at some of the tough decisions. Noah really seemed to bring out Gavin’s soft side. I’m such a sucker for the tough guys with the marshmallow centers!

I really would love to read Simeon’s story. The guy with the endorsements and a secret life has come out as gay. I want to see if Simeon is going to keep being his crazy self or will this make him all introspective and ready to settle down.

Rhett feels like he’s been burnt by his family. He was taught to obey the law. Follow his family into law enforcement. Be the example. Except that’s not what his father and brother did. As much as he tries to escape and walk away, he is called back to New Orleans and his family. But now he has to deal with Ariel Sampson too, his best friend’s little sister. She’s always been off limits for him but being forced together, will the two be able to avoid the connection they’ve always felt?

“Figure out what you want and go after it.

That’s exactly what I was doing. My life was in ashes, so this was the time to rebuild. Something new. Something good. With Ari.

And right now, I needed some of that good.”

Omg! She did it again and I don’t ever want this series to end! You have no idea how much I wanted Rhett to find his happy. This story had my emotions flying all over the place with figuring out what was happening with Rhett’s Dad’s investigation and who all could be involved. Ariel seemed like such a smart and savvy woman with how she dealt with her business, the threats and even Rhett. He definitely met his match when he started pursuing Ari. The tying up of this series was perfectly executed with this story. All of the characters made a cameo and gave us a sneak peek into their lives. I can’t wait for the spin off with Lachlan Mount coming this Fall.

If you need some alpha bad boys in your romance books, look no further. Meghan March writes the BEST stories that will get you all hot and bothered. If you haven’t read this series or need to catch up, what are you waiting for? I love each and every one of these guys and can’t wait to see who’s next for me to fall in love with.

eKindle Review by: Jen

Ahhh I can’t even tell you how pumped I get when a Meghan March book appears on my kindle. I always know I am in for an amazing ride and probably a good book hangover that leaves me waiting to reread all her other books. I have been WAITING, not so patiently I should add, for the Beneath the Truth to come out. This was the first series of Meghan’s that I read and have been hooked by her and this series ever sense. Beneath the Truth finally gives us the story of Rhett Hennessy (gosh his name even just seeps sexiness). We have seen little bits of Rhett throughout the entire series but now we get an up close and personal encounter of who he is. To say I feel in love with him is  a HUGE understatement. I had a feeling that this book would be amazing and I hate to admit it but I set some pretty big expectations of this book that I hoped Meghan would be able to reach. She not only reached these expectations but she straight up throat punched them and knocked this book out of the park!!!

Beneath the Truth picks  right up with the intensity and sexiness that we expect in the Beneath Series. We are introduced to Ariel, the woman who has always been off limits to Rhett as it is his best friend’s little sister. She has brains, beauty, a bit of awkwardness that you just cant help but fall in love with her. There were times where I couldn’t help but crack up at what came out of her mouth. Ariel has always had a crush on Rhett but knew that nothing would ever come of it because Rhett never paid her any attention- or so she thought. Years later when they both find themselves back in New Orleans for reasons out of their control both of them realize that the crush has never disappeared and the invisibility that one felt was truly an act to try and stay away. As events unravel and puts both Rhett and Ariel in danger it is up to the both of them to figure out who close to them is not who they expect and if the feelings and chemistry they have for one another is fit for the long haul.

Gosh I am so sad to see these series end. I loved every single book of this series. Thankfully Meghan gives us the MOST EPIC EPILOGUE EVER!! I don’t want to go into to much detail about it but it leaves you with a huge smile on your face and an urge to start the entire series all over again (which I a currently doing an entire reread J ) Thank you Meghan for giving us Rhett’s story-the wait was so worth it and you crushed it! I am HIGHLY anticipating your new release and pretty much anything else you write!

Excerpt

Wham. My heart slammed against my ribs as it sped up about twenty beats per minute.

The heat and delicious woodsy citrus scent radiating from his body did good things to me. Things that made me want to do very bad things to him. I wasn’t a seventeen-year-old virgin anymore. I knew my way around a man, but I had to admit, the hipsters in Cali had nothing on a homegrown Louisiana man like Rhett.

When he spoke, he leaned in so close that I could feel his breath on my ear. “You missed that shot on purpose.”

My gaze jumped from the sexy five o’clock shadow shading his jaw to his piercing green eyes.

“Wha-what are you talking about?” I smacked myself mentally when my old stammer kicked in. Of course he would cause it.

“That shot. You missed on purpose. I saw you adjust at the last minute. Why?”

I swallowed the saliva pooling in my mouth and decided to take the safest exit from this situation. Lying.

“Cue slipped.”

His eyes narrowed on me. “You’re lying and you’re terrible at it, just like you’ve always been.” He reached up and pressed his thumb to my left eyebrow. “You get a twitch right here.”

Oh my God. Rhett Hennessy is touching me. And what’s more . . . he knows my tell. He noticed me!

The fifteen-year-old inside me did a terrible cartwheel at the realization. Okay, more of a round-off. With a tumble in the grass to finish. Whatever.

But outwardly, I was trapped in that green gaze until he decided to let me go—or until I came to my senses.

I cleared my throat and sidestepped him. “Whatever you say, hotshot. I need another drink.”

Focusing on putting one four-inch heel in front of the other without biting it, I escaped to the table and reached for the whiskey glass I’d left behind, interrupting my brother and the waitress. They both stared at me as I chugged the contents.

I’d always wondered what it would feel like to have Rhett’s attention, and now I knew. In a word, it was . . . unnerving.

“How’s the game going?” my brother asked.

“Fine.” Keeping my answer short meant he couldn’t tell that I was lying. Heath wasn’t nearly as observant as Rhett.

“You winning?”

Thanking the Lord that Heath obviously hadn’t been watching, I shrugged. “I guess.”

He glanced toward Rhett and then back to me. “The sister I know and love doesn’t lose at pool. Ever. Even to Rhett Hennessy.”

I lowered the glass to the table and straightened my shoulders. “Like they say, things change.”

He nodded slowly. “That may be true about most things, Flounder. But you’re a pool shark and we both know it.”

Before I could respond, Heath’s attention jumped back to the waitress. I took another ten seconds to gather myself, also known as drinking offensively in my mind, before I crossed the floor to face off against my former obsession.

“You all right, Red?” Rhett asked.

“Don’t call me that. And I’ve never been better.”

His gaze dipped to my feet and dragged up my body. “I can agree with that statement.”

Whoa. Who is this guy with the innuendo? A glance at his empty whiskey glass told me he was drinking heavily as well. Was this the booze talking? Or was Rhett Hennessy not just noticing me, but noticing me?

Either way, I had to play it cool. Or at least pretend to play it cool, since it seemed I might fall short.

“Your turn, hotshot. Better not miss, because I’ll clear the table next time,” I said, but my cocky attitude backfired.

Rhett didn’t miss. He sank his balls and then the eight, ending the game almost as quickly as it started. He returned his cue to the rack and turned to face me, all traces of the earlier heat banked, his expression shuttered.

“Game over.”

What the hell just happened?

At twenty-three, Poe Montgomery is going nowhere. He still lives in his father’s basement and spends most of his time tagging with his friends. When an arrest lands him in debt, Poe accepts the front desk job at Permanent Ink, the tattoo shop owned by his father’s best friend, Jericho McAslan. Jericho is nearly twice Poe’s age, but with his ink and prematurely graying hair, he quickly takes the starring role in Poe’s hottest fantasies.

Jericho is known for his ability to transform poorly designed tattoos into works of art, but he was once as aimless and misdirected as Poe. Wanting to pay it forward the way someone once did for him, Jericho makes Poe his apprentice and is determined to keep things strictly professional. Easier said than done when Poe makes his interest—and his daddy kink—abundantly clear.

Jericho can’t resist Poe or their intense chemistry for long. But between the age gap, tension with Poe’s father, and Poe’s best friend calling him a sellout, they’ll need to ensure they’re both on the same page before they can rewrite their rocky start into something permanent.

Piper Vaughn and Avon Gale have this to say: we hope people enjoy spending time with our characters as much as we do!

Poe has never had goals beyond becoming an infamous graffiti artist. Living in his father’s basement and landing on his bad side, he ends up working for his father’s friend Jericho at his tattoo parlor. Someone cut Jericho a break when he was growing up and ending in all sorts of trouble so he wants to pay it forward. But Poe doesn’t seem to want the help he’s offering him. The attraction between the two sparks and although Jericho thinks it’s a bad idea, will these two be unable to resist the connection they feel?

“He was a cocky little shit. The thing that got me so hot, though, was knowing he was doing it so I’d put him in his place. I reached up and let myself tangle my fingers in his hair, tugging his head away. He blinked his hazy, lust-glazed eyes at me and bit his bottom lip.

Goddamn it. I groaned and yanked him in close, kissing him hotly. He kissed me back, clearly eager, his body shaking a little against mine. For some reason, feeling that faint trembling was what pushed me right over the edge into bad-decision land.”

I never thought I’d be into a little daddy kink. Ok…that’s a lie. I’ve read it and enjoyed it in the past. But this story is so much more! Poe has a best friend that he paints with and Blue is all sorts of possessive of his time and dreams. I loved that Jericho was trying to guide another young person in a direction that could help keep them out of trouble. Yet he really wasn’t trying to tell him what to do. Poe came across as a little bratty at first and the awakening of what was really going on in his little world made me realize there was more to him that I first realized. I can’t wait to see what happens with Blue or Callum!

What sucked me into this M/M Romance was the tattoo artist. What made me stay once I started reading was the quirky relationship between Poe and Jericho and even Blue! I just want to see more about these characters’ lives and where they go next. Blue needs to find his place in the world. I feel like he’s a lost little boy and thinks no one cares about him. I do, Blue. I do!

Quotes about the Book

After reading Permanent Ink, I wanted to get tattooed and go on a graffiti mural tour, but not before rereading the sex scenes. This writing duo is dynamite, and the chemistry between the characters becomes explosive the further you read. Not to be missed!

Excerpt

I took another pull from my beer, letting my tongue linger on the lip of the bottle.

Jericho’s eyes darkened. He stared for a second before making a noticeable effort to tear his attention away. His gaze slid to the side, and his brows knitted together. I wouldn’t let him ignore me, though. I stepped closer, invading his personal space, and he met my stare again.

“That means a lot coming from you. I know how good you are.” I meant the words, even if my motivation for saying them wasn’t entirely pure. I smiled at him, peering up through the dark fall of my hair, letting my interest show.

His lips quirked.

This close, I could feel his heat through the thin material of his navy T-shirt. This close, I could see the green striations in his hazel irises. This close, I could smell soap and musk and the faint scent of beer on his breath.

I wanted to touch him so bad it was as if my hands had turned to iron and his skin had suddenly been magnetized. It felt like a fucking compulsion.

Without thinking, I kissed him.

Jericho froze at the contact. But I surged forward, crowding him back against the counter and licking at the seam of his lips, inviting his tongue out to play. Jericho gave into me with a quiet sound, a muffled groan that made my cock stiffen.

I got enough of his taste to make me crave more, enough time to think “hell yeah” and start to consider humping his hard thigh—before a loud, shattering noise broke the silence and made us jump apart.

I realized I’d dropped the beer bottle and a puddle of golden liquid was spreading across the linoleum at our feet. “Oh shit.”

Jericho stared at me, his mouth still wet from mine. “Fuck.” His gaze went from me to the broken glass on the floor. “Fuck. That should not have happened.” He snatched the roll of paper towels from the holder on the counter and started spreading a few on the floor to sop up the beer.

I watched him, trying to swallow past the sudden tightness in my throat. He was so focused on the mess it was obvious he didn’t want to look at me.

“I’ll go get the cleaning stuff,” I announced.

Jericho’s jerky nod was my only answer.

I went to the small utility closet across the hall and briefly thudded my forehead against the wood.

“Shit.”

I hoped I hadn’t just fucked up my apprenticeship.

I hoped I hadn’t made things super fucking awkward.

And more than that, in spite of knowing it was probably wrong to want him—he was my boss, my mentor, my dad’s best friend—I wished I hadn’t dropped that stupid bottle.

Evi Devil.

Yes, that’s really my name.

The irony is not lost on me.

I was created from two evil souls and have the name to prove it.

Devil worshipers, perverts, murderer. Is all terms used to describe the parents I refuse to remember. My mind won’t allow me to.

And why would I want to?

One born of dirty blood running through her veins can never truly be clean from its murky hue.

No matter what they try to tell me happened in my past, my mind denies me access, therefore how can I know it’s true?

How can I believe that’s what I’m born from?

Glimpses of my past haunt me, the screams of terror echo in the silent darkness of my memories, trying to remind me that my Mother went from room to room butchering our family.

I’ve learned from scars that I suffered abuse and that my Father and siblings weren’t my Mother’s only victims.

Hearing what they tell me.

Reading the words printed in the papers. None of it can prepare me for what’s to come.

My biggest lesson is learning that some memories we suppress for a reason.

Evi has no memory of anything that happened before she was 9 years old. Her mother murdered her family and she is left wondering why. With the help of her therapist/boyfriend, Evi tries to recover those memories so that she can move forward. But when she opens a box from her mother, everything takes a different turn as Evi starts down the road to her past as every mystery slowly unravels.

“‘Do you want to save me, Max?’ I ask, admitting for the first time to myself that I actually may need it.

He drops to his knees, holding his hands out towards me.

‘You don’t need saving, Evi. You needed to be found. Appreciated. Worshipped.’

‘Why? Because I’m beautiful? A good fuck?’ I shout, spiteful and venomous.

His head drops for a second and then lifts, his eyes trying to convey all the emotion inside him.

‘You are beautiful, Evi. But love doesn’t see with its eyes, hear with sound, feel with touch; it connects with its mind, and once it does, there’s no going back.’”

This book…omg…what a twist. I’m reading along, minding my own business and then I’m like WHAT THE HELL is going on!?!?! What a great shake up! You mind fucked me and didn’t even give me a cigarette. While I was reading this story at about three-quarters through I had to give my husband a rundown about everything going on in this story and why my head was spinning. And when you read a book and you feel that compelling need to share what is going on right at that moment, you know you are reading a really good book. Did my husband appreciate my sharing? Probably not but I loved that I hadn’t considered the possibility of what just happened. When you can surprise me, I feel like it’s my birthday and Christmas all rolled up in one.

So…if you are one of those types. The ones that like a dark, twisted story. That appreciates sadistic characters who aren’t afraid of a little stabby stabbiness. Pick this story up and take a trip along with Evi into her past. I promise it’s worth it.

After a separation, Jackson tries to reconnect with his best friend and more Lucas during a business trip. But things aren’t all smooth as Lucas still harbors resentment over how Jackson left him at the end of their senior year. Will these two be able to find the bond that still holds them captive to one another?

“We’d only just reconnected, and I knew. I could feel it in my bones that this man, this place was exactly where I was supposed to be. I didn’t know how, and I didn’t even know if Lucas would want more, but I knew I had to try. Time had been taken away from us, but here was our second chance, and I owed it to Lucas to show him how important he was in my life. How vital.”

This story and the entire series are just so smart, sexy, romantic and I ADORED this second chance love story. Jackson and Lucas had a little “thing” during their senior year at an all boys boarding school. I felt crushed when Jackson tried to see Lucas during a business trip eight years later. All of those leftover feelings of hurt and something “a little bit like love”. Swoon! I was so invested in both characters as they began to work through overcoming the years apart. Would it be temporary? Was this just reminiscing? This book is the perfect love reconnection story. Were there obstacles? Hell yes! But both guys had a lot to learn. Jackson needed to start standing up for himself instead of going with the flow. Lucas needed to stop running and hiding from his feelings. It was just so good!

There’s something about stories about best friends and finding your way back to a lost love. I’m a sucker for them. If you love an M/M romance full of emotion and heart then you need to read about Jackson and Lucas. They will steal your heart and you will find yourself loving every single minute of it.

Excerpt

WITH THE NOTE from Principal Stewart crumpled in my fist, I stalked away from his office, away from the words I knew would haunt me forever.

“I’m sorry, Jackson. Your father is quite…insistent you return to Connecticut immediately.”

Immediately…immediately… With every echo of that word through my mind, my heart battered my chest, the ache to rip itself free of my body a plea I was helpless to honor.

There was only one reason he would’ve demanded I leave South Haven before the end of classes next week. My father had been adamant I receive the best education his money afforded, choosing to ship me down to south Georgia to attend the most prestigious all-boys academy in the country. I’d done him proud, rising to the top of my class, and I’d been practicing my salutatorian speech for days. Skipping out on graduation and the pomp and circumstance and recognition that came with it? Out of the question. Which could only mean one thing.

He knew. Somehow he knew.

That was the only explanation for the letter in my hand, for the abrupt dismissal this late in the evening and this close to the end of the school year. My father hadn’t gotten to where he was by being stupid or blind, and I’d seriously underestimated how many eyes and ears had been watching me during my four years. Although it would’ve only been the whispers over the last few months that piqued his interest, only the last eight that he would’ve had any reason to give me a second thought.

And that reason wasn’t a what—it was a who.

The halls of the St. John’s dormitory were silent when I entered, all the students down at the mess hall for dinner, followed by the final bonfire of the year. So there wouldn’t be anyone around to see me sneak down the hall to where I knew I shouldn’t be going but couldn’t help myself. My feet seemed to move of their own accord, the countdown to my utter devastation causing me to pick up the pace. The private plane would arrive in a handful of hours, giving me just enough time to pack my things, but there was no way I could leave without a goodbye. Not going to happen.

I wasn’t ready. I was supposed to have more time. As a cold sweat of panic seized me, I balled the letter tighter in my fist and chucked it into one of the trash bins as I passed.

Screw my father. Screw the life he’d set out for me, the one I was destined to live and hate with every fiber of my being. I wanted to bottle up every one of his expectations and throw the blasted thing out at an angry sea to swallow up and tear apart instead.

I wished it could be as easy as that. I’d been able to fool myself into a sense of freedom, but the cell door was about to smash shut on every dream I’d let myself have these past few months.

His private dorm was at the end of the long hall, last one on the right, and I rapped on it twice fast, waited a moment, and then repeated the pattern that we used for each other. A few seconds later, the door swung open, and seeing the sole object of my daily and nightly thoughts standing there in front of me with a mixture of surprise and delight in his eyes made me think that coming here had been a mistake. It was only going to sink the dagger in farther.

“Hey…I thought we were meeting la—” Lucas’s words cut off and the smile curling his lips fell as he got a good look at my face. “What’s wrong?”

You should tell him. Tell him what’s going on and that it isn’t your fault. Look him in the eye when you tell him you can never see him again.

A shooting pain tore through my chest as I realized what this goodbye actually meant. I wasn’t saying I wouldn’t be seeing him for the next couple of days or weeks. When I left South Haven’s campus in the early hours of the morning, I wouldn’t be seeing him again…ever.

God, can I do this? Break his heart as well as mine?

No…no, I couldn’t tell him. He’d look for me, find me, and there was no telling what my father would do if that happened. The letter had been my old man’s warning. Disobeying his orders would mean consequences neither of us were prepared for.

“Jackson?” Lucas’s voice dropped low, and then he looked past me out into the deserted hall. When he didn’t see anyone to blame on my current state, he frowned and waited for an answer.

The words didn’t come, though, so I stood there staring at him, taking a mental snapshot that I’d store away in a place no one could find and destroy. His black hair was casually tousled, and I knew him well enough to know he’d worried his hands through it, maybe wondering if I wouldn’t follow through on our plans tonight. He wore a simple grey t-shirt and low-slung jeans on his long and lean frame, and the swirl of black tattoos he’d recently inked on his tanned skin could be seen peeking around his right bicep before disappearing from view behind the thin material of his shirt. He was striking, both in looks and personality, and to say I hadn’t been expecting the force that was Lucas Sullivan when he’d transferred to the academy eight months ago was an understatement.

Quite simply, I’d been lost to him the first time I laid eyes on him.

Forcing myself to shake off my dread, I said, “I’m okay,” and tried to believe it for his sake.

“Well, you look like hell.” He leaned against the doorway, one of those charming half-grins cocking up one side of his lips. “Hell on wheels, anyway. What’d you do, run all the way here?”

Not too far off there. I didn’t even remember crossing campus to get to his dorm until I was in front of the building.

When I didn’t laugh at his teasing, Lucas’s expression fell again and his brows pulled down, a crease forming between them as his eyes, the color of a stormy sky, gave me a thorough once-over, looking for the source of my pain. He was silent for a long moment, but he must’ve seen something he didn’t like, because he stiffened and his jaw clenched. Then he took a deep breath and let it out in a rush.

“Tell me.”

“Tell you what?” I asked.

Lucas shook his head, his arms going over his chest. “I’m not helping you out here. If you came here for a reason, get out with it.”

Did he know? He couldn’t. I’d only just found out myself, and… No. There was no way. “It’s…complicated.”

“Complicated?”

“Yes.”

Lucas gave a humorless chuckle. “Jackson Davenport, I knew you were scared, but I never took you for a coward. If you don’t want to do this, you can man the hell up and tell me to my face.”

“What are you… I’m not…” I ran my hand over my face, struggling to understand the conclusion he’d come to for why I was standing at his door. My lack of a poker face had put him on the defensive. He thought I was here to reject him. An idea so completely unfathomable to me that it made my stomach turn thinking about it. “Lucas…you’ve got this all wrong.”

“Do I?”

“Yes. I’m not here to—“ I almost said “end things with you,” but I didn’t want to lie to him. I never had and I never would. Instead, I said, “Fight with you. I don’t want to fight.”

“Then why are you here, Jackson?” he asked, and my gaze fell to his lips. I’d tasted those lips only a few times, not nearly enough to quench a starving man’s hunger. All these months I’d wasted, warring with myself in my head, never letting myself have the thing I wanted most. And now I was down to a matter of hours. It wasn’t enough, not nearly enough. But it was all I had, and I wasn’t wasting another second.

If I couldn’t tell Lucas how I felt about him, then I’d show him.

Finally.

Irrevocably.

And starting now.

About Brooke Blaine

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.

She is the author of Flash Point, a romantic suspense standalone, as well as the co-author of the erotic series, A Desperate Man, with Ella Frank. The latter has scarred her conservative southern family for life, bless their hearts. Licked, a romantic comedy, will be released November 11th, 2015 and is the first in the L.A. Liaisons series.

If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find – just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.

Lincoln has a crush on his best friend. But he knows with his past that he’s not good enough for her. And she has a boyfriend. But he can’t stop wanting for it to be more. Reagan feels like she’s always messing up. She never seems to be able to find the right guy. The one her friends and family will approve of. If she can just make this relationship work perhaps she’ll finally get their approval. If only she can stop feeling so much attraction to her best friend.

“That day in her office was the beginning of us. It’s been a nonstop adventure ever since. And I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Rey and Linc. Thick as thieves. Best friends until the end. The love of my fucking life.”

This story and the entire series are just so smart, sexy, romantic and suspenseful. I love romantic comedies but each book is so much more. Linc is a tattooed, naughty bad boy who’s hiding this massive guy with a huge heart. Reagan needs a good guy to sweep her off her feet. My favorite thing about this book is how these two thieves got all their decorations for Reagan’s garden. The easy relationship between Rey and Linc is just so much fun and all I wanted was for it to get stronger and stronger. I found myself anticipating the times I got to read and what a great ending to a romantic family series this was. So freaking cute!

This entire series had some of my favorite things: friend to lovers, strong family connections, feisty females, sexy, dirty talkers and funny bad boys. Linc and Roman….oh my god. The animosity that left me giggling every time Linc would start poking. Everyone needs this series to just make them laugh.
