Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.

Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity’s notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn’t expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity likely didn’t intend for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of the night their family was forever altered.

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen’s feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife’s words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue to love her.

This book gave me chills, had me setting it down and gasping and then picking it right back up to devour every single page. I really had no idea what to think, all that might have happened, and too horrified as Lowen read Verity’s innermost thoughts and deeds. Seriously…I was on the edge of my seat and creeped out…get out of the house, Lowen!!!! You have no idea how many times I said that while reading. Thank you for giving me a story that will stay with me and I just want to make every single reader go through all of the emotions I went through while enjoying this book. Read this book! It’s like a haunted house…something fun and unexpected around every corner.

Excerpt

“What are you wearing?” Corey is staring down at my shirt, perplexed, just now noticing it despite having spent the last fifteen minutes with me.

I look down at my oversized shirt. For a moment, I forgot how ridiculous I look. “I spilled coffee on my other shirt this morning and had to change.”

“Whose shirt is that?”

I shrug. “Probably yours. It was in my closet.”

“You left your house in that? There wasn’t something else you could have worn?”

“It doesn’t look high fashion?” I’m being sarcastic, but he doesn’t catch it.

He makes a face. “No. Is it supposed to?”

Such an ass. But he’s good in bed, like most assholes.

I’m actually relieved when the conference room door opens and a woman walks in. She’s followed, almost comically, by an older man walking so closely behind her, he bumps into the back of her when she stops.

“Goddammit, Barron,” I hear her mumble.

I almost smile at the idea of Goddammit Barron actually being his name.

Jeremy enters last. He gives me a small nod that goes unnoticed by everyone else.

The woman is dressed more appropriately than I am on my best day, with short black hair and lipstick so red, it’s a little jarring at nine thirty in the morning. She seems to be the one in charge as she reaches for Corey’s hand, and then mine, while Goddammit Barron looks on. “Amanda Thomas,” she says. “I’m an editor with Pantem Press. This is Barron Stephens, our lawyer, and Jeremy Crawford, our client.”

Jeremy and I shake hands, and he does a good job of pretending we didn’t share an extremely bizarre morning. He quietly takes the seat across from me. I try not to look at him, but it’s the only place my eyes seem to want to travel. I have no idea why I’m more curious about him than I am about this meeting.

Amanda pulls folders out of her briefcase and slides them in front of Corey and me.

“Thank you for meeting with us,” she says. “We don’t want to waste your time, so I’ll cut right to the chase. One of our authors is unable to fulfill a contract due to medical reasons, and we’re in search of a writer with experience in the same genre who may be interested in completing the three remaining books in her series.”

I glance at Jeremy, but his stoic expression doesn’t hint at his role in this meeting.

“Who is the author?” Corey asks.

“We’re happy to go over the details and terms with you, but we do ask that you sign the non-disclosure agreement. We would like to keep our author’s current situation out of the media.”

“Of course,” Corey says.

I acquiesce, but I say nothing as we both look over the forms and then sign them. Corey slides them back to Amanda.

“Her name is Verity Crawford,” she says. “I’m sure you’re familiar with her work.”

Corey stiffens as soon as they mention Verity’s name. Of course we’re familiar with her work. Everyone is. I hazard a glance in Jeremy’s direction. Is Verity his wife? They share a last name. He said downstairs that his wife is a writer. But why would he be in a meeting about her? A meeting she isn’t even here for?

“We’re familiar with the name,” Corey says, holding his cards close.

“Verity has a very successful series we would hate to see go unfinished,” Amanda continues. “Our goal is to bring in a writer who is willing to step in, finish the series, complete the book tours, press releases, and whatever else is normally required of Verity. We plan to put out a press release introducing the new co-writer while also preserving as much of Verity’s privacy as possible.”

Across the Horizon by Aly Martinez ~ Release Blitz

“Sometimes love happens when you least expect it.” That was what my husband’s mistress told me the day I found out about their affair.

I didn’t believe it until five minutes later when mouth-watering celebrity chef Tanner Reese walked up, tossed his arm around my shoulders, and told my cheating husband to take a hike.

Tanner and I couldn’t have been more different. He spent his weekends at clubs, rubbing elbows with fellow A-listers. I spent mine in yoga pants with cheese boards and a glass of wine—or six.

Our relationship shouldn’t have worked, but it did. That is until Tanner proved to me that even though love happens when you least expect it…

So does heartbreak.

After finding out her husband of seven years was cheating on her, Rita Laughlin just wants to find herself. She feels like her identity was all wrapped up in her husband when Tanner Reese basically comes to her rescue and helps her save face. There is undeniable attraction between these two but after separating from her husband, Rita wonders if it’s too soon to start something with Tanner who she feels is the perfect man. What would he want with someone ordinary like Rita?

“He was so cliché. We’d been together for nine years, married for seven and the fact that he wasn’t in love with her was supposed to somehow make an affair acceptable? Forget that I was dying inside. Forget that, since I’d first laid eyes on him, I had never considered being with another man. Forget that I’d given him my entire life. Every hope. Every dream. Every want. Every desire. And he’d thrown them all away for a piece of ass.”

I was so excited when I realized that this was Porter’s brother Tanner! I pretty much squealed out loud! I needed to know what was going on between Tanner and Rita. Poor Rita. It really tore my heart open with how callous her husband was about cheating on her and how she should just be able to forgive him and move forward. I was glad that Rita was able to get angry and stand up for herself. And Tanner…omg that man. He really had a bottomless bucket of patience to be willing to wait for Rita to be ready. This story was all about when you find love looking for you, it doesn’t wait for the perfect time. When your lives are all perfectly aligned…no…love has its own time table and if you aren’t willing to accept it…you just might miss your happily ever after.

Thank you for a wrap up to one that blended perfectly with Charlotte and Porter’s story. I fell in love with Tanner while watching them fall in love and I just grew to love him more in his own book. He was a character that just was begging to have his own happy ever after.

EXCERPT

I shifted the phone to my other ear and asked her, “Did you just get in bed?”

“If, by bed, you mean carrying a glass of wine out back to swing in the hammock, maybe.”

I bit my bottom lip, my head falling back against the headrest. For most men, this would have been an innocuous statement. But for a hammock connoisseur like myself, this was the normal guy equivalent of her saying that she liked to give blowjobs during halftime.

“You have a hammock out back?”

There was a delay in her response, which was followed by a subtle kiss of her lips on what I assumed was a wine glass. “Don’t knock it until you try it. It’s one of the most underrated luxuries in outdoor furniture.”

“Oh, I’m not knocking anything. Rope or quilted?”

“Mayan, actually.”

“Oh, sweet heavenly baby Jesus, she’s beautiful and knows her hammocks. I’ve never been so turned on in my life.”

She giggled, pausing for another sip. “You know, if you leaked this hammock fetish to the press, you could probably increase demand by five million percent and singlehandedly lower the country’s unemployment rate.”

Okay, so at some point during the day, she’d figured out who I was.

But! Even with this knowledge, she was trying to avoid a date with me and was not elbow-deep in planning our televised wedding. This was a definite plus in my book.

“Yeah, but then, when I talked to beautiful women like yourself, I’d have no idea if the hammock was your idea or a ploy to impress me.”

“Jeez, that’s sad, Tanner,” she said, her sweet Southern accent like a wave rolling over my name.

I’d meant it as a joke, but it was the absolute truth when it came to dating. Early on in my career, I’d done a rapid-fire interview about my personal life. One of the questions had been: What would your ideal woman order on the first date? Truth be told, the only thing I hoped my ideal woman would order was something she wanted. I didn’t factor into that. But I’d been on my last question in my last interview of the last day of a month-long press tour. My face had hurt from fake smiling, I’d been in desperate need of a shower, a smoke, and sleep, and my mind had been mush, so I’d prattled off the first thing that had come to mind: shrimp and grits.

That one little answer somehow made it onto my Wiki page, and after that, every woman I’d taken out ordered shrimp and grits. One of them even had a shellfish allergy and nearly ended up in the hospital. And this insanity was not limited to women outside of the spotlight.

I’d once gone on a date with America’s princess of pop, Levee Williams. We’d hit it off at a charity event. For one of the most famous women in the world, she was a surprisingly nice girl, gorgeous, and funny as all get out. But the first time I took her out? One guess what she ordered.

I was at the end of my rope with dating and lost my freaking mind before storming out like an asshole. That night, as I was reporting shrimp and fucking grits as an error to Wiki, I noticed that her page listed it as her favorite food. I’d never had the balls to contact her again, and I once hid behind a palm tree on Rodeo Drive when I heard the clamoring of paparazzi calling her name. But that’s neither here nor there.

In short, while finding a woman was all too easy, dating was hard.

But that wasn’t about to stop me from trying with Rita.

Mary Daniels is focused on remaining one hundred percent professional as her wealthy boss has her acquire obscure pieces for his collections. But when Mary meets her new transporter Brodie Crews, she doesn’t know how she’s going to ignore this too attractive, masculine man. With sparks flying, the chemistry is a two way street and with the highly competitive collectibles trade, these two might find each other in danger of becoming too close to resist.

“You had this whole ‘take me serious or else, because I’m a hard-core professional and I don’t need you ogling my boobs’ vibe going on.”

This transporter story was just fun to read. There’s attraction, sass, intrigue, mystery and action all packed up in this page turner. Some of the characters were definitely oddballs and it drew me more to Mary and Brodie as a team against the strange obstacles against them. I loved Brodie’s protectiveness toward family and really anyone who was an underdog. He has such a sense of fairness and what is right. But my FAVORITE character was Howler. Such an entertaining and loving dog. And really, who can resist a guy who is such a great doggy daddy. Not me.

If you’ve enjoyed Lori Foster’s MMA and Bodyguard stories then you will definitely like the new Road to Love series. It has the same strong sense of family and friends that was the main theme in all of the other series. Once you get to know the main characters, you can’t help but fall in love with them and want to see their happy endings.

Excerpt

Mary cursed herself for the hundredth—maybe the thousandth time—as she sat on the bed, her laptop open before her at three in the morning. Her eyes burned and she couldn’t stop yawning, but then she hadn’t slept much through the night.

She put the blame for her sleepless night squarely on the boulder-shoulders of that scruffy-faced, rude, provoking cretin that Therman insisted she hire. When he’d first named Brodie Crews as the courier he wanted, she’d thought nothing of it. Their last transporter had relocated and hadn’t been that reliable anyway. Twice he’d been unable to accept Therman’s assignments, and that had left them scrambling for a replacement. If Brodie Crews worked out, Therman wanted him on retainer.

But then her boss, Therman Ritter, an eighty-six-year-old eccentric sweetheart, didn’t have to be around the man. No, Therman stayed tucked away in his million-dollar retreat, collecting his “valuables” and avoiding society.

It was Mary’s job to socialize, to make human contact, and to ensure the acquisitions happened without a hitch. She always accompanied the courier to guarantee Therman’s interests were respected—and kept private.

She should have had Mr. Crews sign the contract yesterday, but at that point she’d still been hoping to talk Therman out of hiring him.

And she’d wanted to get away from the man as quickly as possible.

In some indefinable way, he threatened her peace of mind and her carefully crafted persona. A first for her, and damn him, she didn’t like it.

Looking over all the research she could find on Brodie, she marveled that Therman had chosen him. She couldn’t find one overwhelming reason to explain why her unusual boss had focused on that brother instead of the other, but she did know now that Jack wouldn’t have been accepted. Therman had been very clear on that point.

Thank God Brodie had insisted, because Therman had been very displeased with her efforts to switch up brothers. Her descriptions of them, her comparisons, hadn’t mattered at all.

Therman wanted Brodie, and only Brodie.

It wasn’t the Mustang Transport website that had convinced him. It was still being built and contained only the basics. It wasn’t Brodie’s bio, either, which mostly mentioned his history as a courier and dedicated work ethic. Nor would it be his stellar driving record, because that was expected for his career choice.

No, the one thing that had won over Therman was Brodie’s rescue of that oversized, long-boned dog. Therman had read a lot into it: compassion, determination, duty, honor…the list went on and on. That single heroic incident had convinced him that Brodie was the perfect person to complete the job.

Frustrated, Mary sat back against the pillows and read the too-brief article again. Brodie had found the dog chained to a stake in the broiling sun near a junkyard. No food, no water. Signs of abuse.

Mary swiped away a tear, furious with the idea that anyone would ever mistreat any animal. In many ways, it was the same as mistreating a child. One couldn’t speak, and the other was often too afraid to tell.

Brodie must’ve been furious too, because he found the owners and offered for the dog. In doing so he’d apparently stumbled into a drug deal in progress. Guns were drawn, shots fired—and somehow Brodie had come out of it whole hide, with three men wounded. He’d taken the dog home, rehabilitated him and given him the cushy life.

That was a year ago, and while Mary did consider it incredibly heroic, it had absolutely nothing to do with transporting Therman’s valuables.

The evil and spoiled women that think the world owes them something. He stalks and captures his prey. Natalie is number six. She thinks she can stay with him. But none of them do.

“My lips crash to hers again. I want to taste her soul. If it’s as innocent as she likes to pretend, I want to lick and bite and devour it. I want to inhale it. I want to smear it all over my fucking body.”

This made my little dark and twisted heart grin evilly. I loved Captain Cole Heart and his malevolent acts. He really got creative in his torture and Natalie was the perfect victim. Captive books are my jam and I really was in the mood for some crazy when I picked this story up. It spoke to all of my demons and I was not disappointed with the story flow and how it ended. Perfection.

If you like dark or taboo stories, you cannot go wrong with K. Webster. I still am catching up with all depraved things from her, but I will find and consume them all. I don’t have many more to go.

Picking up where Perversion left off, Tricks is in a dire situation and Grim needs to do some quick thinking to help her out. Unless Tricks can manipulate her way out first. War is coming. These two lovers will need to fight with everything they have to survive or they and the ones closest to them could lose it all.

“I’m not worthy of her. Of this dangerous life-altering thing between us.
Never will be.
It doesn’t matter. Worthy or not, I’m fucking taking her.
Consequences be damned.
Tricks is mine. She always has been.”

Whoa! I feel like I’ve been slapped around, stripped and doused with a hose, and pushed into a wide open space to air dry. I’m just sitting her blinking. What a wild ride. Tricks really can find herself in some precarious situations that have my heart racing. If you thought the first book was dark and crazy with the dire need to just escape all of the bad…well…this story continues that theme with even more threats, more danger and some help from friends and family. And I loved every single nail biting minute of it.

I devour T.M. Frazier’s books like I have an addiction. The characters are so dark and gritty they just grab me and hold me down. And seriously. I’m kinda into it.

Bethany nods to the box, again pressing her finger to her lips. “We will know more when you’re assigned a judge. Until then, we will just have to wait,” she says loudly. She points with her eyes to the item in my hand, then leaves.

The object I’m holding is a rock with a piece of paper attached to it by a rubber band. I pull the paper free and flip it over. It’s a note.

Stay by the glass, motherfucker! Whatever you do, don’t turn around. PS-You look nice today. Prison blue suits you.

The one-piece scratchy uniform I’m wearing is bright orange. What the fuck is all this about?

I peer out from my cell. There’s no one in the room now. Not even the janitor. The security camera high in the corner across from my cell, the one that’s usually pointed directly at me, is now facing down toward the floor.

Whatever you do, don’t turn around. Okay, so I won’t turn around completely, but curiosity leads me to risk a glance over my shoulder. It’s just a wall. An empty blank wall. BOOM. BOOOOOM!

An empty blank wall…that just exploded.

The sound resonates through my eardrums. I duck and cover my head with my hands as pieces of cement rain down into the cell. Dust coats my hair and the back of my neck. After a few beats, I stand, waving away the plumes of the aftermath.

Through the debris, I can just barely make out headlights. It’s a truck with a battering bar attached to the hood.

“All aboard! This train is leaving the motherfucking station. Literally!” shouts a voice. I can’t see who it is through the windshield which is shrouded in what remains of my cell. I don’t have time to ask any questions of the mystery voice.

There’s no time to question anything.

The passenger door flies open. Two officers appear behind me. One fumbles with the cell keys while the other shouts at him to move faster.

It won’t be fast enough.

I leap into the truck and slam the door. The tires spin in place for a few seconds until they finally grip the concrete. My head hits the headliner as we reverse over the broken bricks until we’re clear of them and are able to make forward motion. It isn’t until we’re through the field and on the road when I finally get a good look of my getaway driver.

“Preppy?” I ask. “What the fuck are you doing here?”

Preppy may not be part of any official organization, but he runs a tight ship over in Logan’s Beach. Belly and I have worked with him and his friend King a few times in the past. I haven’t seen Preppy since before he was thought to be dead only to later be rescued from an underground cave where he was held captive for the better part of a year.

“Grim? Fuck, I thought I was rescuing Bear. Get the fuck out,” he teases. “Just kidding. If Bear was locked up I wouldn’t help him escape. That fucker could use some ‘me time’ to contemplate his grumpy nature.”

He holds the wheel with one hand and straightens his signature bowtie with the other. His white dress shirt is rolled up to his elbows revealing arms heavily covered with both tattoos and angry jagged scars.

He lights a joint and tugs on the wheel, making a sharp turn off the road into a dark heavily wooded area. When we’ve made it in far enough to be fully camouflaged by trees and brush, Preppy kills the engine.

He passes me the joint, and I take a much-needed hit, holding the smoke for as long as I can before slowly exhaling.

“Thanks, man. How the fuck did you get sucked into this?”

Preppy types out a text on his phone, then sets it back in the console. “Bethany. I owed her a favor. She got my boy, Bo, out of some trouble recently.”

“Isn’t your kid like ten now?” I ask. “What kind of trouble can a ten-year-old get into that needs Bethany’s kind of help?”

“He’s eight,” Preppy corrects. “And my boy catches the kind of trouble most kids his age don’t know is out there to catch. My girls are easier. Twin toddlers. Miley and Taylor. The three of them, along with their mama, are the loves of my fucked-up life. Bo’s a good kid. He’s just…well, his brain arrow doesn’t exactly shoot straight. Its target is usually more…”

Preppy shapes his hand like an arrow aimed at the windshield, then changes the aim to me.

“Human.” He drops his hand. “And the incident in question wasn’t that bad. It may or may not have had something to do with the unfortunate disappearance of a certain…”

He waves the rest of his sentence away like there’s a gnat flying around his head.

“Let’s just say he’s grounded. VERY grounded. For life. Or like a week. Minimum a few days. Or a day. Maybe, an hour or two. Poor kid. Maybe, I’ll just take him to the movies.” He sighs. “You’ll see. Wait until you’ve got some sex trophies of your own. You’ll understand.”

Kids. I’ve never thought of myself with a kid before. I picture Tricks holding a baby in her arms. Our baby. Much to my surprise, I don’t fucking hate it. Although, the thought isn’t helpful to my current situation and only makes me more impatient and enraged.

One thing at a fucking time.

Sirens wail through the night. Preppy remains cool and calm like he’s driving a parade float down main street, and not at all like he’s running from the law with a fugitive.

Blue and red flashes light up the woods. After a few seconds, the vehicles pass, and both the lights and sirens fade off into the distance. “That’s our bat signal. Let’s get you the fuck outta here so I can get home to the missus and eat her cookies.” Preppy pauses, probably realizing his odd choice of words. “I do actually mean cookies. Dre makes a mean batch of chocolate chip.”

I stare silently out at the passing trees.

“I’m going to eat her pussy, too. You know, after the other kind of cookies. Just so we’re clear.”

“Thanks, man. We’re clear. And if you ever need anything and I’m not dead or serving time, I’m there,” I assure him. I mean it. I owe him a debt. A huge one.

“Hhhhmmm,” he considers, taking the joint I pass him. “How do you feel about babysitting?”

I smile at his joke until I look over at Preppy only to see he’s not doing the same.

In fact, it’s the only time in my life I’d ever seen him with a straight face.

“I uh…”

He looks straight ahead through the scratched and broken windshield. Bits of concrete from our escape attempt cover the dashboard, and some of it is lodged into the glass. “Never mind. You can do me one favor, though.”

“Anything within my power. It’s yours.”

“Don’t tell King about this,” he says. It comes out as a sheepish high-pitched question.

“Why? He wouldn’t want to know that you broke me out?”

King was a friend of Belly’s and a good ally to Bedlam. It wouldn’t make sense that he’d be against helping me. I’d do the same for any of them if the roles were reversed.

Preppy shakes his head. “Oh no, he knows I broke you out. I just sent him a text to tell him it’s over. The grand escape is complete.” He steps on the gas. “But he don’t gotta know I used his truck to do it.”

About T.M. Frazier

T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier never dreamed that a single person would ever read a word she wrote when she published her first book. Now, she is a five-time USA Today bestselling author and her books have been translated into numerous languages and published all around the world.

T.M. enjoys writing what she calls sexy ‘wrongside of the tracks romance’ with morally corrupt anti-heroes and ballsy heroines.

Her books have been described as raw, dark and gritty. Basically, what that means, is while some authors are great at describing a flower as it blooms, T.M. is better at describing it in the final stages of decay.

She loves meeting her readers, but if you see her at an event please don’t pinch her because she’s not ready to wake up from this amazing dream.

Kaine’s family and life were destroyed by a horrible tragedy. Now he’s broken and wants to just be left alone to deal with his grief. But Piper Campbell moves next door to his cabin and ready to start her new life. She’s ready to start over after a miserable divorce but Mr. Rude next door isn’t on board with her plans. Neither knows that their no-strings arrangement will turn into something neither would expect.

“Somewhere along the line, you stole my heart. I’m going to steal yours in return. Just wait and see.”

Love, love, LOVE Lark Cove. Both Kaine and Piper’s stories broke my heart. They both just deserved so much more than they were given. No two people were more made for one another than these two and I just loved how their broken pieces seemed to fit so perfectly together. Every time I get one of the books that take place in Lark Cove, I just wish I could move out to that community. There’s such a family and small town feel that really speaks to me. Who wouldn’t want to go to a bar/dining establishment where everyone knows your name? Sign this reader up for a moving van and winter gear!

I highly recommend this series for all of the feels and flawed characters who find their little corner of happiness. Every single time I finish a story, I just want to give a heartwarming sigh of content. Just so good!

Robbie, Julien and Priest have finally settled down together. Everything is working out perfectly but there’s just one thing missing. Robbie hasn’t introduced his men to his family. Why? Only Robbie knows and can a loud, loving Italian family and two married, caring boyfriends figure out a way to get along? Robbie isn’t quite sure if he’s ready for that.

“A sexy Frenchman and a sinful-looking Priest. God, please turn a blind eye tonight.
Because he was not about to behave himself once he got them inside.”

Awwww!!! My favorite ending to my adored threesome. A perfect wrap up to this beautiful combination of complimenting personalities. I keep finding myself wanting to throw some French phrases in my review. Julien has enticed me to the language of love. Seriously. The way these guys just can read what each other needs and effortlessly give of themselves…my heart just melts. I really just had a huge smile during this entire book and their happily ever after just gave me chills. So sweet. So right. So lovely.

Right from the first time I met Robbie, he stole my heart. He was such a sassy and unique character and I wanted to know how his story would go. He just had so much love to give. It just made sense that he’d need two guys to handle all of the love and playfulness he can dish out.

CHAPTER ONE

I’m not sure why everyone dreads their thirties.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s going to be

the best decade ever ~ Robbie

Six Months Later…

“LOVERS, I’M HOME,” Robbie Bianchi called out to his boyfriends, as he juggled several shopping bags in one hand and kicked the front door shut behind him. He stuffed his car keys into the pocket of his shorts, and as he evened out what he was carrying, he took the stairs that led him up to the first floor of their new home.

With the same smile on his face that he’d left with that morning, Robbie headed across the hardwood floors past the dining room, and into the kitchen, where he spotted a note waiting for him: We’re upstairs, princesse. Come find us when you get home.

Robbie grinned at the messy crown drawn above the i in princesse, but then quickly did as he was told. With one hand on the steel rail, he took the stairs two at a time, and as he reached the second floor where the bedroom was located, he walked inside to find it empty except for the fish swimming around the tank that lined the wall facing their bed.

Dropping his shopping bags on the end of the mattress, Robbie headed up to the final floor, where he knew his men were waiting for him. He opened up the glass door that led to the penthouse deck, and when he stepped outside and the warm rays washed over him, Robbie took in a breath of fresh air.

Ah, he’d always loved summer. Everything about it. The sun, the smell of the freshly cut grass, and the clothes—or lack thereof—Robbie thought, as he reached for the edge of his white tank top and drew it over his head.

As he tucked it into the back of his shorts, Robbie scanned the wide deck, his eyes roaming over the wooden slat floor, the hot tub over in the corner, and the glistening water of the lap pool surrounded by the potted greenery bordering their rooftop oasis.

This space had been the final selling point with all three of them when they’d made the decision to leave the condo after what had happened there with Jimmy. It was the perfect place for Julien to relax and do his yoga, for Priest, who loved a good soak to clear his mind, and for Robbie, for whom it was all about the calm he got from finally seeing his men happy and at peace. And that was exactly how he found one of them right now. There, stretched out on one of the sun loungers, was the brand-new reason that Robbie loved summer—an almost-naked Julien Thornton.

Dressed in tight, black, barely there swim shorts that left little—okay, nothing—to the imagination, the only other thing Julien was wearing was a pair of Aviator sunglasses. His rich, olive-colored skin was glistening with water droplets as he lay sprawled out with his hands behind his head, and oh my God was he a feast for the eyes.

As Robbie walked to the end of the lounger, his eyes roamed up Julien’s toned legs to his muscular thighs, and ended at the bulge that tight material was cupping like a glove.

Oh yes, this was hands down the best part about summer now, and luckily for Robbie and Priest, tanning was a favorite pastime of their seriously sexy Frenchman.

Bonjour, princesse.” Julien’s honey-toned voice wrapped around Robbie, informing him that he’d been caught staring. But he didn’t care—not one little bit.

“One second, please. I’m concentrating here,”Robbie said, his gaze trailing up all he could see to finally land on Julien’s face. “Now, sorry, what were you saying?”

Julien chuckled as Robbie walked alongside him. “Bonjour, princesse.”

“Oh, yes,” Robbie said, and bent down to brush a kiss across Julien’s lips. “Bonjour, Jules.”

Robbie went to straighten, but before he got too far away, Julien took hold of the back of his neck and craned up for a deeper kiss. Robbie’s lips parted, and Julien slipped his tongue inside, making Robbie’s cock jerk to attention, as he braced his hand on the back of the lounger and sank into the deliciousness that was all Julien.
