Blurb & Info

From USA Today bestselling author, Jillian Dodd, and her daughter, Kenzie Harp, comes a travel romance that will take you on the adventure of a lifetime.

NYC fashion blogger, Camille Caldwell, gets offered a dream job by her favorite magazine. They’re going to send her on an all-expenses paid eco-trip to Costa Rica. She doesn’t know what that means, but she assumes she’ll wear fabulous clothes, sip Piña Coladas on the beach, and have her photo taken “out in nature.” Really, the hardest part of the assignment will be giving up social media while she’s gone.

Going off social media is no big deal for London-based wildlife photographer, Adam Lloyd. The only reason he even has an account is to share his photos with the world. He’s thrilled when an international publication wants to hire him, until he finds out it’s a fashion magazine. He decides to take the job anyway—after all, it will be great for his portfolio. But the minute he sees Camille, he knows it was a mistake. She has too much luggage, is too high maintenance, and way too pretty.

When they meet, their feelings are mutual—they hate each other. Can these two stop fighting long enough to complete their assignment? Will Camille give up and go home when she discovers there’s nowhere to plug in her hair straightener?

Or will they both realize that sometimes you have to go off the grid to find yourself?

Making a difference:

Part of our goal in writing this book is to make a difference. 10% of our profits (20% during release week) from this book will be donated to the Sea Turtle Conservatory. It is the oldest sea turtle research and conservation group. It was founded in 1959 by Dr. Archie Carr. Their headquarters are in Florida, but they have programs worldwide that work to conserve sea turtle populations through education, research, advocacy, and protection of natural habitats. They also have a research station in Tortuguero, Costa Rica, which was one of the places visited in the book. For more information on the Sea Turtle Conservatory, click here.

Camille Caldwell is a NYC fashion blogger who is offered an eco-trip to Costa Rica by a fashion magazine. When wild-life photographer Adam Lloyd from London is offered to accompany her for the week, he initially has no interest. The two of them clash from day one but have to learn to get along. They have a job to do but can they get along long enough to complete their assignment?

“I’m sure it’s always a balancing act between being present for your significant other, providing for one another, and doing what you love.”

“Finding that balance is important, as is finding that special someone to be your partner in life and to love and support all you do. It’s a beautiful thing.”

This story was different than many I’ve read lately. Camille has to go off the grid and avoid social media to immerse herself to experience the nature of Costa Rica. Adam is young photographer who’s looking for more experience taking wildlife pictures but not for a fashion magazine. These two have pretty much nothing in common. Adam was raised with a family that valued conservation, nature and helping people in underdeveloped countries. Camille has lived in New York, vacationed in the Hamptons and stayed at five star hotels…she just hasn’t been exposed to saving the earth and reducing waste, etc. Living without basic luxuries is a slap in the face for her, and we get to see Camille wake up to the world around her. In this book, we learn about endangered species and environments while Camille and Adam go from barely tolerating one another to friends to feeling an attraction. It’s a cute story while bringing important issues to light. Hopefully readers will take some of the lessons Camille learned to heart and become more socially aware. Even if they start with just unplugging from social media for a week. We can all benefit from doing something small and being the change we want to see in the world. Try something new!

I had fun googling different exotic birds and animals as I read this story. I haven’t read too many travel romances so this was something new for me and I’m always open to learning new things. I found this story fun to read and an escape from so much materialism. I pictured myself visiting volcanoes and hot springs. I think I need to plan an eco-trip myself!

CAMILLE

The sound of a door closing wakes me up. I watch Adam come out of his cabana, walk down the steps, and into the sand. He’s shirtless, wearing just a pair of shorts with a towel thrown over one shoulder. I consider saying something, but don’t. I’m too tired to hold a conversation.

As I lie my head back on the hammock, I notice out of the corner of my eye that Adam has walked down to the water.

I wonder what he’s doing when all of a sudden he starts stripping off his shorts.

Oh, my gosh!

Before I can look away, his shorts hit the sand, revealing his naked backside. I need to get out of here. If he sees me he’ll think I was spying on him, or worse—checking him out. But somehow I get tangled up in the stupid hammock and flip myself right into the sand, landing with a thud.

He turns toward the noise, but thankfully it is dark, and I don’t think he can see me.

Actually, I know he can’t see me, because if he did, he’d totally come up here and give me crap.

I flatten myself into the sand and don’t move. Adam finally turns back toward the ocean and dives out into the water. While he’s swimming, I army crawl as quickly and quietly as possible back to my cabana. When I get to the stairs, I stand up which causes them to creak. Crap! I drop to the ground again, squatting low and hiding behind the porch rail. Then I stand fully, dart inside, and move to the window. I slide the little curtain out of the way and peek through.

I can barely make out Adam’s form floating lazily in the dark water. And I can’t help but think about how he’s out there naked.

I throw myself dramatically on the bed, realizing too late that I’m covered in sand. I go into the bathroom, take off my clothes, shake them out, and then put on my pajamas.

I brush the sand off my sheets and try to go to sleep, but I can’t. So I grab my video camera and do my video blog for today.

“It’s day two in Costa Rica. Today was truly amazing, and I wish all my Effortless Girls were here experiencing it alongside me. Actually, that’s a lie. Honestly, I’m really homesick.” A tear escapes my eye. “And I don’t mean to sound crazy, but I have no one here to talk to and all I can think about is calling home. I know, pretty pathetic, right? It’s just hard when you feel out of place. I wish Adam, my photographer, who is pretty nice when he’s not annoying, wasn’t such a pain. He thinks he knows everything about everything. Well, he sort of does. I mean, I spent a lot of time doing research for this trip but nothing compares to the real thing. And Adam, yes, that’s his name, like from the bible. And it kind of fits, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Get it? Adam and Eve, the apple?” I let out a maniacal laugh. “It’s quite possible I am a little delirious from lack of sleep. What I mean is that Adam’s dad is a world-renowned photographer, and Adam is following in his footsteps. He’s actually lived a pretty interesting life. Much different than me growing up on the Upper West Side of New York. His mom is an anthropologist and Adam has lived with indigenous people before, so he was actually a good fit for this trip.

“And speaking of the do-gooder, this morning when I jumped into the shower I was shocked to discover there was no hot water. Of course, Adam ran into my room when I screamed. Thank goodness I was able to mostly cover myself up with a towel that was barely bigger than a hand towel. And guess what he’s out doing right now? He’s swimming naked in the ocean! And that’s really why I can’t sleep. Who could sleep with that going on?” I hear the sound of Adam softly whistling a tune from outside. “Crap. I have to go! He’s back and I don’t want him to know I know he was out there! Bye!”

In a battle of the alpha males, who will end up on top?

On the surface, Derek “Call me Dare” Nelson’s life is simple. He’s happy doing up campervans while living in a slightly illegal caravan in his riverfront yard. But life gets more complicated when a smooth-talking, handsome property developer offers to buy the land out from under his feet—the very same man Dare had to escort from a party nine months ago for causing a drunken scene.

Grant Matravers is living a double life, attempting to adjust to weekends as a single, soon-to-be-divorced gay man while staying in the closet during the week. The strain of keeping up appearances at work while missing his kids is bad enough, but add in an attraction to the shaven-headed, tattooed, totally unsuitable Dare and Grant finds his emotional barriers wearing dangerously thin.

Dare blasts through those barriers in a way Grant isn’t prepared for, challenging everything he thought he knew about himself as a gay man. But as their chemistry heats up and the intimacy between them grows, Grant edges towards a decision that could blow up in his face. Exposing a mess of complications that could destroy any chance for their happily ever after.

Product Warnings: Contains one sharp-suited man desperately in need of redemption, another whose thuggish exterior does a pretty good job of hiding his heart of gold, frotting in camper vans, a sensual head-shaving scene and several (noisy) guest appearances from Mas.

Grant has been a closeted gay man all his life but he’s finally getting to live his life. Slowly but surely. He’s not looking for anything serious. He just wants to do his job and take care of his girls. Dare works hard renovating campers and he’s not about to give up his riverfront property so some developer can build more high priced condos. When the two clash with what they want, Grant and Dare find themselves unable to keep away from each other. But will Grant’s secrets and Dare’s complicated family be too much to overcome?

“As Grant walked back home, Dare’s words circled round and round in his head. Was he really a man with no dreams? He’d always had plenty of goals, but dreams were something else, by the sound of it. Was that what was wrong with his life? Why he’d never been happy? He’d always blamed that on the whole being-a-gay-man-in-a-straight-marriage dilemma, but he didn’t have that excuse any longer.

Perhaps he needed to start dreaming. The trouble was, he didn’t know where to begin.”

This was just one of those good stories where opposites attract. Grant has some complications in his life with separating from his wife, trying to get visitation with his girls and dealing with an overpowering boss at work. Dare is a tattooed, shaven head mechanic who lives in a caravan on some property his boss wants. Although they seem at odds, this really was a sweet romance as they both don’t think the other one is serious. But don’t get me wrong. There is a LOT of physical scenes between the two guys. When they are together things get hot and steamy very quickly! Both men have a lot more emotions running under the surface and I loved seeing how they’d work through them. The epilogue was so inspiring. So heartwarming.

This series is quirky and fun. I liked all of the different personalities in each story and really became invested in their lives. Who knew even with you have a nemesis in one story that there is a redeemable guy hiding underneath!

I wasn’t looking for Derek Wolfe.

I wasn’t looking for anybody. All I wanted was to start a new life in America. But when I found myself stranded here with no place to go, he came to my rescue, offering me a place to stay.

He’s smart, successful, and sexy as hell—I can barely sleep knowing he’s right down the hall. And when the chemistry between us explodes one night with fierce, fiery passion, it’s hard to deny there’s something real between us.

But he does.

He says he was drunk. He says it was a one-time thing. He says he’s not into guys and what we did meant nothing.

He’s lying. Because it happened again, and again, and again. And it’s better every time.

I know we could be good together, and I want the chance to try, but I’m done hiding. If he’s not strong enough to admit the truth, I’ll have to be strong enough to walk away.

Maxim wasn’t looking for Derek Wolfe. He just wanted to start a new life in America. But he had nowhere to go and Derek offered him a place to stay. Derek just can’t seem to find the woman he’s looking for. All he wants to do is start a family and live his dream. When Derek and Maxim meet there just seems to be a connection. A connection that they can’t seem to fight. But Derek isn’t prepared to accept that Maxim might be the person he’s been waiting for when he’s been told his entire life that to be “perfect” he must find his wife.

“…I was lost.

Lost to him, lost to myself, lost to this aching, pulsing need inside me to let go. To stop pretending I didn’t want this. To surrender to it because I wanted it and it felt so fucking good.”

Derek and Maxim’s story had me all kinds of emotional. Maxim was such a strong and brave man for being so young. He comes to the U.S. with barely anything but his goals and dreams and ends up meeting a guardian angel…Ellen. I liked that Maxim turned Derek’s rigid world up on end when they met. It went from a bland gray to a rainbow of color. Even though Derek aggravated me with his antiquated views on life and people pleasing needs…I still really liked that deep inside his soul knew what he needed. He just had to get his mind in sync with his heart. I mostly want a sister like Ellen. She was funny with the best intentions. What a free spirit! As much as Derek poo pooed her methods, Ellen seemed to have a very realistic and accepting view regarding love.

I loved this collaboration! It was heart-wrenching and kindle throwing pleasure. Every time I was reading Maxim’s point of view I wanted to just reach out and hug him so tightly. His values that he lived by just made me so proud of him.

Excerpt:

Figuring I’d had enough booze to blunt his effect on me, I rolled up the sleeves of my black button-down shirt and moved next to him. “I’ll help you.”

“Okay.”

I caught him trying to not to look at my wrists and forearms, and it made me smile. How does it feel to want someone and have to hide it? “You wash, I’ll dry?”

“Sounds good.”

We worked in silence, shoulder to shoulder, and I found myself increasingly—and disturbingly—pleased at the thought of him being attracted to me and being forced to conceal it. It was fucking horrible of me to take pleasure in his discomfort, but I liked being secretly wanted. Being illicitly desired. Being the object of his covert glances and maybe even his darkest, dirtiest thoughts. I let our arms touch more than necessary, as thrilled by the physical contact as I was by the thought of what it might be doing to him.

For there is no man who does not sin.

My dick started to get hard, clearly unbothered by the whiskey that was breaking down my inhibitions, pushing past all my defenses, and letting my imagination run wild.

What’s in that gorgeous head of yours, Maxim? What’s behind those cobalt eyes? What would you do to me, if I let you? What would you let me do to you?

“Carolyn is so nice,” he said, handing me the last serving dish left to be dried.

What? He was thinking about Carolyn right now? He wasn’t supposed to be thinking about Carolyn—I was, goddammit!

But I wasn’t. “Yeah.”

He turned off the water. Rested his wet hands on the edge of the sink. “I didn’t realize you had a girlfriend.”

And I heard it in his voice—the slightest edge of jealousy, so faint I might never have noticed it had I not been so hyperaware of everything about him right now. I fucking loved it.

“She’s not my girlfriend.”

“Oh.” Now there was confusion. “I guess I misunderstood.”

“She wants to be my girlfriend.”

Silence.

Of course there was silence. Maxim would never ask what the problem was. But I wanted to tell him. I wanted him to know. I wanted to share the impossible longing I felt with one person who might understand it.

“The problem is me.”

He was completely still. Before I could stop myself, I covered his right hand with my left. “Sometimes I don’t know what I want.”

He yanked his hand from beneath mine and we faced each other.

For the first time tonight, I looked him right in the eye. Nothing around us existed for me anymore. I heard only his breath. Smelled only his skin. Saw only his guarded expression.

I had to have him.

Laz had his fame and fortune and lost it all. Now he’s on his last chance and he’s creating an all new girl band that he hopes places him back on the road to success. There’s one small caveat…he can’t get involved with any of the members. Aundrea Newton always falls for the bad boy. They are her weakness. When she and her sister have a chance to make their dreams come true, can she resist her greatest desire?

“Maybe having the woman of my every desire staying in such close proximity to me isn’t the brightest idea I’ve ever had. The need to run my fingers along her smooth skin is pretty damn strong, and I don’t know how long I’ll be able to fight it before I say, Fuck it all, and make my move.”

I was in the mood for a sweet, sexy rock book and that’s just what I got. Drea was so willing to stay in the background and be happy for her sister, but that girl had a voice that needed to shine. Laz had made mistakes and lost his way. I loved he was redeeming himself and wanted to prove he could still succeed with his love of the music industry. Secrets come to light and just as Laz warned Drea…you need someone you can trust along the way. With all of the tough breaks Drea has had to deal with in her life you can’t help but root for that girl to get some self-esteem and overcome her fears. Kick some butt, Drea!

I kind of love all of Michelle Valentine’s books. She had me at the golden ticket during the Black Falcons and I won’t be escaping her spell anytime soon. All of her stories have so much heart that you just can’t resist them.

Bryn just needs to catch a break. She wants to start her own business but finding funding is proving to be impossible. As her last resort, she turns to Christos, a high school friend turned real estate tycoon who funds business startups. Christos challenges Bryn to develop her business plan as he vets her and she’s never worked harder to prove herself. But the old sparks they had in high school are threatening to fire up and everyone knows you don’t mix business with pleasure.

“There’s always been a you and I. Except only you and I know it. Only you and I know all the touches that never happened. All the kisses we never took. All the damned dances I didn’t dance with you.”

I freaking couldn’t wait to have this book in my hands. Bryn and Christos…these two…I was up and down and all over the place. Is he going to help her? Why does he keep stringing her along? MEANWHILE, Bryn is trying to keep things professional, but he’s sex on a stick. SEX. ON. A. STICK! And he has a…mumble…girlfriend. Anywho…I really couldn’t put the book down because I was trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Are they or aren’t they? Will she be able to pull this off? Honestly, I thought Christos ran so hot and cold I couldn’t figure him out. He’s a man of mystery. I wanted Bryn to grow a pair and kick his butt into action. Fate brought these two back together and I wanted them to see the light. There is definitely some angst and a bumpy ending but I can’t wait to see what happens next with these two and, of course, Sara and her juicy one-night stand!

I can’t resist a Katy Evans story. They tease you and every single time I can’t put it down. I have to read it all in one sitting. And that’s why they are my favorite romances. Hand over ALL THE BOOKS!

Excerpt

I hop off the train and walk several walks to his building.

It’s a brownstone in Park Avenue, one of the most elite of the elite spaces in town.

My lungs feel a little bit overworked from awe as I head up the steps to the double doors, grateful that I came dressed to kill in a little black dress, a jacket, and pumps. Simple, but effective.

See, I may be feeling a little awkward, but at least I don’t look it.

I’m greeted by his maid. She’s dressed in black and white, her hair drawn back in a neat bun, her expression stoic and formal as she leads me down the hall to a gorgeous study.

I catch my breath when I notice all the books and shelves.

It’s like a reader’s paradise in here. There’s a sleek chrome bar, a modern mahogany glass-topped desk, and two huge whiskey-colored leather chairs that almost swallow me up when I’m instructed to wait in one.

I drum my fingers, inhaling the scent of leather and wine, remembering a guy I knew with his mechanic navy-blue uniform, black streaks on his jaw, his big nose always the first thing you’d see, which was a pity because he had beautiful eyes and a really sinful pair of lips.

He’s living in luxury now. Wow. Good for him.

I hear footsteps approaching and the little hair on my arms prick at attention. My head turns as a tall, dark figure steps into the room, and the most intimidating guy I’ve ever seen enters and crosses the room toward the desk. He walks like he’s the shit…his strides proud and composed, elegant and powerful.

Christos, I hear myself breathe in surprise.

He’s so tall now…six three, at least. Dirty-blonde hair, gold-green eyes, chiseled jaw, and a gorgeous profile.

All in black, he looks very much a New Yorker.

He’s wearing a black jacket, black pants, and a black turtleneck beneath the jacket…

I stare at him, my jaw hanging a little bit open. The man is….all man. Testosterone. Muscles. Height. Width. My chest hurts all of a sudden because I realize…

The boy you knew is gone.

I force myself to stand. “Thank you for seeing me.”

He heads to the bar to pour two drinks, then he prowls over, takes the whiskey leather chair across from mine and leans forward, pushing a glass of cognac with one finger across a small table, toward me.

And he waits.

In silence.

But my stomach dips as if he’d said something ultra-sexy and decadent.

“You might not remember me, I’m sorry to be reaching out like this,” I say, nervous.

“What do you want?”

There’s a pleasant shiver as he speaks. Recognition of his voice, even though it’s far deeper than I remember.

“I was told you sometimes invest in startups.”

“I’d say more than sometimes.” He raises his eyebrows as if I should’ve done my homework better.

Ugh, Bryn! Focus! Be SMART! Make yourself and your business irresistible! A silence settles as he eyes me, slowly setting his drink down as he leans forward and finally, unexpectedly, smiles. At me.

It’s just a smile.

But the world tilts under its impact.

“Hello, little bit.” Amusement touches his gaze as he tilts his head and watches me. “You know, I’d think you’d have grown up the ten-plus years since I last saw you. At least an inch.” He leans back in his seat, seemingly displeased. Wow, this guy is not the lanky kid I knew once. This guy oozes danger.

Every ounce of “boy” is gone. Oh God. For a moment I wish that we could go back in time and I could discuss my startup with the guy I knew before.

But time travel is not really my talent, and it seems like I have yet to see if I even have any special talents at all—depending on what this guy thinks.

“I grew two in width,” I shock myself saying.

He laughs then, his eyes drinking me in openly.

“Shame on you, you’re not trying to see if it’s true?” I ask him, frowning now.

He shrugs casually, his lips curved at the corners. “I can’t help it. Something has to have changed.”

“Why?”

“Because nothing good ever lasts. Even you, little bit.” A smile touches those unforgettable gold-green eyes.

A shiver runs through me. Because…

Christos recognized me.

“I can tell you’re as incorrigible as ever.” I shake my head, but I’m smiling, truly just relieved that he recognized me.

“I try to be,” he purrs dangerously.

I’m feeling warm all of a sudden. I can’t believe I’m staring at him so much, but it’s like I cannot take my eyes away. He looks achingly familiar, but at the same time, so different I cannot help but stare and track the differences in his features. The way his jaw squared out even more, the way his body filled out with hard, lean muscles that shift and ripple beneath his expensive designer clothes. I cannot believe that this is a guy I knew once.

He seems to silently be taking in my changes too, his keen stare allowing me to see that he seems to approve of it all. Even the dress I’m wearing. “You changed enough for the both of us,” I blurt.

“Really. How so?” he asks.

“You grew into your nose.”

“Really?” He chuckles as if despite himself.

“Width and height too. Quite a bit,” I add.

“Anything else,” he prods, one eyebrow rising.

“You learned how to dress.”

He looks down at his black suit. “This old thing?” He grins, then shifts forward, sobering up. “What can I do for you, Bryn? Considering I’m rather surprised to see you here, I’m eager for you to satiate my curiosity.” His stare becomes keen.

“So am I. I didn’t expect to be here,” I admit, and for a moment when I look into his eyes, all I see is someone I’ve seen before. Someone who belonged in my life long ago. “You know when you had that misplaced crush on me and told me one day I’d know what it felt like to throw pebbles at someone’s window wanting them to open? I’m sort of throwing rocks here.”

“Not to sing me a love song,” he says flatly, his eyes shuttering.

“No. Well, you know that was never….I mean…” Don’t bring up your rejection of him, Bryn! “It’s for something better. Business.”

“Go on.”

“I knew that’d get you.” I smile privately. “So it’s true your love is money now.”

“She gives back what I put in. Though her ass isn’t as juicy as I like,” he says nonchalantly.

“Wow. No matter how polished you look, your mouth is still as crude as ever.”

“Thank you,” he purrs, his eyes grinning at me.

I laugh. Then I sober up and realize he’s waiting for me to speak. “I’m looking for money for my startup,” I say.

“How much.”

“One hundred thousand.”

“I don’t invest less than a million.” He twirls his whiskey in his glass, eyeing the liquid.

“Well then, I’ll ask for a million.”

He raises his brows, setting his glass down. “It’s not how much you want to ask for, it’s how much the company’s worth.” Eyebrows up, he skewers me with a cold, intimidating look.

“It’ll be worth more than a million, trust me,” I bluff.

“Good for you. Except…” he leans back with a rustle of clothes, every athletic inch of his black-clad body flowing sinuously like a feline with the move, “considering that has yet to happen and I’ll need to trust you on that, my trust needs to be earned.”

This version of Christos is even more intimidating than the old one, unfortunately.

I try to hide it, keeping my voice as level as possible. “How does one earn your trust?”

“I’d tell you if I were interested, but I’m not exactly sure that I am.” He eyes me as if debating in silence.

This guy is the only guy in the world that unnerves me in this way, and I can’t seem to slow the fast pounding of my heart in my chest as I try to remember what I came here to say.

“I have a full presentation for you. I’m not taking no for an answer.” I reach into my briefcase.

“Darling. Are you ready?”

I start at the female voice and glance at a gorgeous woman striding into the study. Christos continues looking at me as he stands and reaches for the cell phone the woman extends out.

“We’re done here,” he answers her as he pockets the phone, his gaze remaining on me.

“I’ll wait for you in the car.” She leans up and kisses his jaw, her hands proprietary on his chest, then sends me a woman-to-woman claiming look, before she swishes away, all glittering jewels and lean body.

There’s a silence as he approaches, and for a second all I can hear is the sound of a toilet flushing, taking my only opportunity with a possible investor away.

“I’ll think about it,” he says.

“Christos.”

“I said I’ll think about it,” he says from the door.

“Please do,” I say as he exits the room. I cup the sides of my mouth, “I’ll be back tomorrow. Same time?” I say jokingly.

I’m surprised when I hear footsteps returning. He pauses when our eyes meet. “I’ll make contact,” he says, raising his eyebrows meaningfully, “If I’m interested in hearing more.” He nods. “Nice to see you, Bryn.”

“Nice to see you. Christos.”

Well, that went sort of awful.

With Sadie and Ruck missing after the fight, Ramsey wants to just let go and take down the White Wolves MC. But they need to be smarter than that. They need a plan. Will the Steel Souls MC be able to find these two in time before everything falls apart? Or will they torture Sadie and Ruck and fracture their souls irreparably?

“I never believed in fate or any mystical shit like that, but she was part of this world from the very beginning of her life. She’s meant to be here – it’s in her blood, and I’m meant to make her mine. I certainly have no intention of her being anyone else’s.”

Whoa! This has to be one of the best MC books I’ve ever read. My emotions have been all over the place. Things I guessed were going on were never entirely right and the twists kept coming! I love it when I’m kept on my toes. Sadie is strong yet she knows who her family truly is. Ramsey tries to fight for and protect the ones he loves. He never feels like he’s truly done enough. JJ is the leader the club needs and he’s willing to put it all on the line for his club. I can’t believe how much heart this story had. The Steel Souls are family and I really need more of them.

I can’t believe how emotionally invested I was in the Steel Soul family. As rough and crude as these men were, I wanted them to be together again, drinking and getting it on with their MC hos. My heart broke in places for Ramsey and how he tried so hard to save everyone. If you like MC stories, you really don’t want to miss this one.

Piper and Cannon are on vacation and having marital issues. She doesn’t feel connected with him any longer and he seems to work all of the time. When she starts checking out online boards to figure out a way to revive their marriage she runs across a swingers group. Could this be the way to recharge their sex life? West and Tilly have sexual chemistry off the charts. Although sometimes West feels like they aren’t connecting anywhere else. When West and Piper meet they feel a deeper connection than just the sex for fun. Will either marriage survive once these two start becoming obsessed with more than swinging?

“Never in a million years did I think swinging would hurt in the best way imaginable. That I could get so lost in another man and then go home to my husband. I didn’t realize how much I needed West until I thought about the girl I’d be without him – the girl I had been before I met him.”

When I found out this book was about swinging, I thought YES!!!! First of all yes…this book is steamy/hot/intense. I loved how polar opposites these two couples were in many ways, but the swinging just opened the door for all sorts of twisted fuckery. I wanted to just shake Cannon when Piper asked and asked him to be honest with her. She was trying to solve the puzzle of their marriage, and he just wouldn’t give her a clue. Tilly seemed to be a person who lives purely for self-gratification. West…that man. He’d had some rough blows, but I loved that his character was inspired by Hockey. We should all bow down to the Hockey gods for what they have provided. YUM! This story was sexy and kinky but also about eye opening secrets and vengeance. I loved all of the angst. Give it to me!

If you like books that deal with relationships and intense attraction, you will love this one. I really like books that delve into marital issues and situations you might run into in your own marriage. Not that my hubby and I are out swinging around. At least not that you know of…

Let me just say… This book had be all turned upside down and inside out.

When I heard it was about “Swingers” I was like HECK YEAH… Sign me up!

I have never read a book about “swingers” nor do I really know much about that lifestyle, but was eager to read it, ONE… because it had to have SEX in it, and TWO.. Well… Because it was going to have naughty sex in it. LOL

This story is about two couples in different stages of their life.

You have West and Tilly. West is a professional hockey player… or he was, and Tilly is one HOT woman, no inhibitions, and knows what she wants, and goes for it. West is used to Tilly bringing in another woman into their relationship, but West never did anything with the other woman, it was all Tilly, while he watched, and then he would enjoy his wife when they were done.

The other couple, Piper and Cannon. A happily married couple, but Piper can tell there is something missing in their relationship. She starts to get on the computer and read “forums” and “blogs” on ways to “spice up your relationship” and swinging was mentioned. So Piper looked into it a bit more. She made posted a message and got a response from Tilly, and they began to chat online about the possibilities of the two couples meeting up.

Let me just tell you… This story was so well written. I didn’t want to continue to read it…because I was afraid of what was going to happen next. But I needed to know what would happen next so I had to keep reading it.

I was expecting to get just a book about “swingers” and “sex” but got SO MUCH MORE! This story is so much more than that.

I don’t want to give anything away, so I will stop there… but just let me tell you….READ THIS… It takes you on an emotional ride and takes you away from the normal story we read. Something different for sure… and such a great story about LOVE, LIFE and RELATIONSHIPS!

Excerpt:

After tonight, she’ll know how gorgeous she is, and she’ll know how incredible a man can make her feel. And, when she looks at her husband, she’ll expect more from him.

I know shit between them isn’t as hot as what Tilly and I have. Cannon doesn’t look at Piper like he wants to take her clothes off with his teeth and have his mouth live between her legs. He gazes at her like he wants to ask where they’re going to dinner and what movie they’ll see after.

There’s a difference between fucking your best friend and someone who actually worships your body.

Piper will soon know the latter.

And that’s why she’s here. To know what it feels like to be with a man who lusts for her cunt.

She picked the right couple to swing with.
