This book is the second stand alone in the Rising Star series by Lee Piper and my first read from this author. In this book we get Zeke and Willow’s story and I really loved these two together. The author sure knows how to pull you in with her amazing characters and I had a lot of love for the secondary characters as well. I will for sure be going back and reading Shiloh and Reid’s story asap because holy hell those two are smoking hot! I really enjoyed this book. I laughed out loud several times, loved the angst that was thrown in the mix along with hot alpha males and loved the bond these characters all had. Not to mention I am always game for a good Rock Star romance.

Willow’s band recently won a competition and as a result they get to work with the hottest music producer in the industry, Zeke Danton. When I say hot I don’t mean just his talent, this man is a can I have a tissue to wipe the drool off my chin kind of hot. The chemistry between Willow and Zeke is crazy intense right from the get go. Thing is Zeke is not only talented and sexy as hell but he is moody, and all over the place. Willow knows she should stay away but with a man like Zeke sometimes that’s just not possible, no matter how much you think your heart may be broken in the process.

“I see you. I want you. Open up to me.”

I loved these two characters and how even though they were each others opposite in so many ways they just fit together so well. Willow was all sunshine and boldness and beauty while Zeke was all sexy, broody alpha male with some serious trust issues. They had to navigate through some pretty bumpy roads to be together. From crazy ass exes to career choices but these two had each others back and I was hoping their love for each other would see them through. I truly enjoyed Willow and Zeke’s story and can’t wait to read more from this author.
