This book was not what I had originally thought. Maybe I needed to read the first book in this series but to be honest even if I had more background, it wouldn’t have made me love the dynamics between a few of these characters.

Salome is in love with her brother’s best friend Chris. For years. Chris is also in love with her but there is so much more to this simple “best friend’s little sister”. Chris is bisexual and had a fling with Salome’s brother years ago. Salome may or may not be bisexual. Chris hooks up with Salome’s best friend Jordan who is gay and so on. It was hard to follow at times. Also the whole friend/brother swapping wasn’t really for me. Not to mention Salome’s family treats her like crap and she never stands up for herself.

I felt no connection between her and Chris even though they have had feeling for each other for so long. It just was not a smooth read for me. I didn’t like some of the characters and how they treated each other. Maybe I was missing something but sadly this book wasn’t for me. It might be for you.
