No, I hadn’t heard that Ryan Prince was staying at the very resort I had just started working at.

This was a quick, solid read and had a little bit of everything! It’s a second chance romance book and I only wish it had been a little longer. Bex and Ryan were college sweethearts. Actually more than that, dare I say “soulmates”. Ryan’s football career was taking off professionally and due to extenuating circumstances these two break up and break each others hearts. Even though both of their lives move on, they are still connected and have never gotten over each other.

Bex has 2 small kids and not together with Logan, who she never married, and is now separated from him. He cheated on her, got his girlfriend pregnant and has moved away. He resents her because she was never able to give him her full heart despite the numerous times he proposed. He is less than a stellar father, is never around and barely helps financially. Bex has had to take a part time job at a resort doing menial things that she hates.

Ryan’s football career died when he was injured but he has a budding career as an actor. He has never committed to anyone and to the public may be a bit of a manwhore due to all of the women he is photographed with. He has never gotten over Bex and his heart is still broken. He decides that he needs a trip away to visit his parents and books a stay at the same resort Bex works at. He also decides that during this trip he will break it off with his latest fling.

Sparks immediately fly when these two see each other for the first time in almost 10 years. This book is chock full of it all. Past hurt, lies, secrets, love, revelations and some hot sexy scenes! Can Bex and Ryan find their way back to each other? Can they get over the real reason why Bex pulled away? Has this all been due to a lack of communication? Can they work around an ex that now all of a sudden wants Bex back? Can she compete with Ryan’s movie star life? This is a good book to get lost in and take a break from the real world! Look forward to more books from this author.
